We are seeking an energetic research assistant interested in physical education, exercise, and mindfulness to join Mindful-HIITS, a research project exploring the impact of a school-based intervention on adolescent regulation and wellbeing.

Exercise and mindfulness training are both valuable interventions that can enhance cognitive function, emotion regulation, and well-being. Their low-cost, modifiable, and scalable nature, offer economical practices that can be adopted by schools to potentially enhance student learning. Some teachers in Singapore already utilize exercise or mindfulness with students in efforts to enhance learning and well-being; however, it is unclear how widely these practices are used, or if they are implemented effectively in local schools. Moreover, while there is ample evidence supporting the broad benefits of exercise and mindfulness separately, there is a dearth of research examining their combined effects on emotion regulation and wellbeing.

This research project aims to develop and test a school-based intervention to improve adolescents’ cognitive and affective functioning through a combination of exercise (high intensity interval training [HIIT]) and mindfulness practice that is tailored for secondary school students over several PE lessons. Acute and longer-term effects of the combined mindfulness and HIIT sessions (Mindful HIITS) on emotion regulation, wellbeing, and learning, will be studied using multimodal approaches involving self-report, neuroimaging (EEG), and physiological data collection in school environments. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contract Logistics Business Development Manager with a strong background in the medical or pharmaceutical industry. This role is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing client relationships, and providing tailored contract logistics solutions that meet the specific requirements of the medical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development & Client Acquisition:Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, focusing on contract logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management services.
  Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical companies, medical equipment manufacturers, and healthcare organizations.
  Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  
• Market Research & Analysis:Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning within the medical and pharmaceutical logistics sector.
  Stay updated on industry regulations, compliance requirements, and technological advancements affecting medical and pharmaceutical logistics.
  
• Solution Development:Work with internal teams to design and propose tailored logistics solutions that meet the specific needs of clients in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, including temperature-sensitive products, regulatory compliance, and product handling requirements.
  Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure smooth implementation and service delivery.
  
• Contract Negotiation & Management:Lead negotiations on commercial terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients.
  Oversee contract execution and ensure that the terms of the agreements are met, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work closely with other departments such as operations, legal, and finance to ensure seamless coordination of logistics services for clients.
  Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials and strategies targeting the medical and pharma sectors.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare, or a related field.
  
• Experience:5+ years of experience in business development or sales, specifically in contract logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  Prior experience in the medical or pharmaceutical industry is mandatory, with a deep understanding of industry regulations, handling requirements, and market needs.
  
• Skills:Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the logistics or pharmaceutical industry.
  Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  Ability to develop customized logistics solutions, with a focus on temperature control, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
  Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards, such as Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceuticals.
  Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
