RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Producer and Executive Producer in all pre-production, production and post-production matters.
• Assist in liaison work with internal production units and external companies.
• Work with the production team to prepare/break down the finalized scripts for production. This includes arranging/scheduling and attending production meetings, location scouting, audition/casting meetings, set design meetings and script reads/rehearsals with the talents.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our research team to study plant epigenetics and crop functional genomics. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in performing the mechanisms controlling neural development, pruning, and neurodegenerative diseases using both fruit fly and human brain organoids. The aim of the projects is also to explore mechanisms of neuronal pruning in fruit flies and its implications for autism. A full-time Research Assistant position in the team led by Assistant Professor Chua Wei Ling is available at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, National University of Singapore. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of researchers, including epidemiologists, entomologists, wildlife ecologists and public health experts at universities and government agencies;
• Contribute to design and analysis of field and infectious disease modelling studies in collaboration with project partners;
• Document research output including cleaning, analysis and interpretation of data, development of standard operating procedures and drafting progress reports;
• Present research findings at national and international conferences and publish results in peer-reviewed scientific journals;
• Contribute to grant proposals and reports for funding agencies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field such as epidemiology, entomology, ecology, geography or a related discipline
• Previous experience with field or laboratory studies and willingness to work in remote locations
• Experience with statistical analysis using programmes such as R or Stata
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex concepts to diverse audiences

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day full-set accounting operations, and general ledger entries.
