Job Scope:
1. Timely Delivery of Goods to Vessel:
- Ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to the assigned vessel.
- Coordinate with the purchasing team and warehouse to expedite the process.
2. Inventory Management and Quality Control:
- Work closely with the purchasing team and warehouse to ensure:
- Proper packing and protection of goods.
- Accurate verification of item quantity and quality.
- Maintenance of unbroken cold chain for temperature-sensitive goods.
3. Warehouse Operations Support:
- Assist the warehouse team in packing, inspecting, and preparing goods for delivery.
- Operate equipment such as stackers and forklifts (WSQ forklift license is a plus).
4. Documentation and Customs Clearance:
- Ensure all invoices and relevant documentation are properly signed by the vessel crew.
- Conduct bond permit physical declaration at the customs office at the port.
5. Liaison and Customer Satisfaction:
- Act as the link between the STH team and the relevant vessel personnel.
- Work to resolve any discrepancies in goods and ensure customer satisfaction while protecting the company's interests.
- Maintain a positive and pleasant disposition, fostering good working relationships with vessel crew and officers.
- Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
6. Driving and Independent Work:
- Possess a Class 3 driving license (experience driving a lorry is a plus).
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
7. Adaptability and Ad-Hoc Duties:
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the team leader, such as collections, pallet transfers, and warehouse work.
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach to accommodate the changing needs of the organization.
