Main responsibilities for this Role

Person will be responsible for following (but not limited to) responsibilities in day-to-day work:

§ Monitor assigned vessel’s technical operation and maintenance.

§ Monitor performance through monthly return reports / vessel inspections and maintain optimum maintenance levels

§ Monitor and establish reasons for excessive/unusual wear and tear and develop means to control/rectify same, through consultation with Technical Manager.

§ Monitor technical performance of vessels and monitor consumption of spares/ luboil and bunkers to ensure these are not caused by poor condition of vessel.

• Lead or participate in projects that will improve people, processes and systems in the global HR Organization by collaborating with cross regional and functional teams

• Implement innovative and scalable processes; take part or coordinate definition of methodologies, practices and procedures

• Produce and manage project related documentation, roadmaps, status dashboards, communications to collaborators

• Analyze data on given processes to produce trends to identify and plan improvement areas

• Facilitate discussions on complex topics, collaborate and drive towards solutions

• Develop or lead the efforts to define testing needs for new systems and tools

• Manage relationship with collaborators effectively

• Act as Regional or Global Process Owner

• Coordinate definition of training needs, plans, materials and results

Reports to: Marine Safety Manager

Monitor the fleet’s navigational, deck and cargo operation efficiency, ship and crew safety policies and ISM system.

A. Navigational Operation

§ Liaise with Masters on chart/publication/ENC updating & navigational issues.

§ Informs vessels of National, Class, International regulations and rules in force.

§ Informs vessels of Company’s policy and regulations in force.

§ Liaise with Masters on maintenance of LSA/FFA equipment.

§ Provide Masters with navigational information where required.

B. Crew Operation

§ Vetting of officers and crew for employment on vessels.

§ Organise familiarisation and plan overlapping of senior officers.

§ Handling of crew disciplinary matters.

§ To liaise with Crewing Executive Officer on crew performance.

§ Provide briefing to senior deck officers joining vessels.

§ Debriefing of returning senior deck officers.

C. Ships’ Operation

§ Liaise with Owners/Charterers on vessel operational matters.

§ Liaise with Master/Port Agents on operational and crew matters and/or schedule.

§ Attend to shipboard visits/inspections/surveys as per Company’s policy. To submit written report to Marine Safety Manager.

§ During inspections, to review effectiveness of Company’s ISM policies.

§ Issue necessary instructions pertaining to vessel safety matters.

§ Vetting of ships’ monthly returns and plan vessels future requirements.

§ Monitoring vessels survey status pertaining to deck, status of validity of cargo gear, LSA and FFA equipment certification etc.

§ Vetting of charts and publications requisitions.

§ Shall arrange to inspect each vessel under his charge at intervals of not more than six months (-/+1 months). A check list, VIQ7, shall be used as guidance.

§ Any defects noted is to be listed in the defects list (form G-06) and signed by the Superintendent, the Master and Chief Engineer. He should also verify that the maintenance is being carried out in accordance to the PMS.

§ For all NC noted during the inspection, the Master is to raise a Non-conformance as per Company’s Form S-05

§ At each visit on board, a safety meeting should also be carried out if time permits.

Job requirements:

· With at least three years’ experience of captain on oil tanker or LPG

· Be familiar with the international and domestic laws, conventions and regulations in relation to navigation and the up-to-date industry requirements of ISM, ISPS code, SOLAS convention, MARPOL73/78, IGC code, IBC code, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, TMSA etc. and marine affairs management.

· With strong organization and coordination ability;

· With good English language skills;

· Be in good health, full of energy.

Overview of the job

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to join our team as a Project / Program Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for determining and defining the scope and objectives of medium to large projects. You will predict the resources required to achieve project objectives and effectively manage these resources. Additionally, you will oversee multiple stages of large IT projects and develop budgets based on the scope of work and resource requirements. It will be your responsibility to track project costs and ensure they align with the budget. You will also create and manage detailed project schedules for medium to large projects or multiple project stages. Regularly providing project updates to stakeholders and the project board is a crucial part of this role. Furthermore, you will assist in managing contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables. Throughout the project execution, you will apply industry and company best practices, techniques, and standards. Monitoring progress, making adjustments as needed, and measuring project performance to identify areas for improvement will also be part of your responsibilities.
