About our client: Our client is a leading global provider of project management services for large-scale FPSO projects.

About the role: The MC Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all MC activities, which includes issuing completion procedures, managing the commissioning and MC database, and distributing ITRs to project execution teams. They ensure that suppliers comply with project completion requirements and collaborate with construction and QA/QC teams to facilitate the timely completion of A-ITRs according to commissioning needs. Additionally, the MC Coordinator reviews completed ITRs, manages punch lists, and compiles system MC Dossiers (MCD). Leading the MC team, they work closely with the project execution team to ensure the project completion process is carried out in a timely, accurate, sequential, and logical manner. The MC Coordinator reports to the Commissioning Manager.
Responsibilities:
Mechanical Completion Coordination:
- Oversee and manage the MC process, ensuring all mechanical and electrical systems are completed and tested per project specifications and system priorities.
- Define the MC philosophy, establish test package boundaries, and outline completion requirements for suppliers and contractors.
- Maintain and update the punch list register, coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient sign-off on punch items.
- Ensure that MCDs are completed and submitted to Commissioning for approval.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Populate and maintain the MC database.
- Prepare and submit a weekly MC status report to the project manager and stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient completion of systems and subsystems.
- Conduct regular meetings with project teams to ensure alignment on commissioning priorities and MC requirements.
Problem Resolution:
- Troubleshoot issues, resolve disputes, and address bottlenecks that may impact MC progress.
- Provide onsite technical support, participate in tri-party walks, and ensure system readiness before handover to the commissioning team.
Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all MC activities adhere to safety regulations and requirements.
- Foster a safety culture and encourage continuous improvement within the team.
- Coordinate SIMOPS activities, ensuring that all high-risk tasks are properly assessed and communicated with relevant stakeholders.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by the Project Manager or Commissioning Manager.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in MC roles within the oil & gas, construction, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, processes, and commissioning philosophy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
