• Experience in the documentation of BRD, FSD, use cases, visual modelling, and business processes.

Responsibility of Business System Analyst:

• Evaluates business systems and workflows, conducting a thorough process analysis of current and future Finance & Manufacturing systems/processes.
• Mapping existing processes and suggesting new/improved processes, aligning with the department’s strategic directives and operational guidelines.

Job Purpose

This is a Finance Business Partner (FBP) role to support growing business units in the local transportation landscape. You will lead a team of two to three reports to collaborate with various stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

1. Business Units’ (BU) Financial Reporting and Management:

• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial policy and procedures.
• Manage daily accounting functions of a portfolio of companies, including review of journals.
• Reconciliation of inter-co reconciliation and ensure no discrepancies in month-end balances.
• Liaise with AR & AP Shared Services team and Treasury on accounting issues for period closing, collections and payments.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and statutory and management reporting with preparation of variance analysis, cashflow statement, accounting schedules and bank reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance of financial records with corporate and statutory requirements.
• Prepare annual budget, with monthly forecast and projections.
• Develop and coordinate inputs from BU for budget and projections, liaising with Group Finance and Financial Planning & Analysis to meet reporting deadlines.
• Draft financial presentation material to present data/figures.
• Liaise with external auditors for audited financials and XBRL filings for portfolio of companies.

2. Business Analytics & Costs Control:

• Engage with BU to stay updated on business and cost developments to challenge cost escalations and business cases to realize operation efficiencies.
• Identify or explore opportunities for more effective delivery of outputs.
• Actively participate in the learning and sharing of best practices.

3. Undertake ad hoc projects and analysis work when required.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or ACCA.
• 3-4 years relevant accounting and finance experience (with staff and people management responsibilities), with 1-2 years audit background.

Skills

Technical skills include:

• Good working knowledge in Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and tax regulations
• Good working knowledge with ERP systems, such as SAP and Anaplan planning & forecasting system

Generic skills include:

• Good interpersonal skills and communicate with all levels in the organization and stakeholders in both verbal and written English.
• Ability to work independently and operate in a fast paced environment.

OVERVIEW

The Deputy Managing Editor, International will lead the digital editorial team in APAC, shaping news and features coverage, acting as deputy to the Managing Editor on decision-making for International Digital, and updating the global site with fresh content on a real-time basis. The role is based in Singapore, and reports to the Managing Editor, CNBC International Digital based in London.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Form a digital news and coverage strategy on a daily and longer-term basis for CNBC.com in APAC
• Support the Digital Managing Editor to execute upon their content strategy for CNBC.com International, driving our editorial agenda to the highest possible standard
• Strong partnership with the Digital Managing Editor, acting as a secondary decision-maker for CNBC International on an as-needed basis, reinforcing editorial guidance provided by the Managing Editor to stakeholders both inside and outside CNBC.com, and standing ready to make unplanned, global editorial decisions
• Consult with senior TV producers in APAC on coverage decisions during and outside of APAC market hours to ensure that CNBC.com has a complementary editorial presence across all media
• Lead the APAC-based Digital team, made up of Editors, Correspondents, Writers, and Video Editors based in Singapore and China
• Provide guidance and support to the line managers in your department, providing opportunities for training and career development and fostering collaborating across teams and bureaus
• Act as a hot seater for CNBC.com, updating the site in a timely manner using strong editorial judgment and knowledge of business and financial news
• Edit written copy and video captions with accuracy on a tight deadline

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• In-depth knowledge of the content and subject material covered on CNBC and a strong interest in financial markets and economics.
