• There will be shift duties to be undertaken as follows:

Job scope

• Attend to a range of enquiries from users including loan and membership transactions, feedback, and assist in the use of library resources and facilities.

• Train, manage, and participate in the assessment of a pool of Student Assistants.

• Provide a range of services in various libraries during the evening and weekends opening hours.

• Provide access to course reserves in support of teaching and learning, including the overseeing the operations to process, track, and re-shelve reserves in a timely manner.

• Manage the libraries including basic troubleshooting of equipment and working condition of library facilities.

• Assist in office administrative work which includes (but is not limited to) rostering of staff and Student Assistants, collation of statistics, budget tracking, procurement etc.

Requirements

• A recognized Diploma in any field. Salary range between $2,500 - $3,200, depending on experience.

• Work experience in libraries or service-oriented organizations is advantageous.

• Familiarity with library management systems (e.g. Alma) would be beneficial.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of the unit's overall direction and strategy, and provide support in managing the affiliated groups to develop their business strategies for the mid to long term. Collaborate with the local management to drive business development (BD) activities in line with the unit's overarching strategy, jointly initiating and implementing BD initiatives.
• Assist in the management of the affiliated groups to develop their financial budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs), and closely monitor these budgets and KPIs in alignment with the unit's direction. Offer analytical support to the affiliated groups and fulfill any other ad-hoc assignments assigned by superiors.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the responsible group affiliates and the Headquarters, ensuring smooth collaboration and adherence to internal approval processes. Communicate well with other Units in the organization.

• Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, recognized by PE Board
• Proven experience as a Deputy/Assistant Project Manager or in a similar role in the construction industry, with minimum of 15 years of experience in CAG, LTA, PUB or any civil projects with leading A1 Contractors and/or consultancy firms, with contract sum of > $105M.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on a variety of difficult process engineering experiments, within safety guidelines
2. Perform hardware characterization on a variety of difficult systems, within safety guidelines
3. Troubleshoot a variety of complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis and resolve a variety of difficult process engineering issues
4. Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations and technical reports

The Project Manager’s responsibilities will include:
