We are looking for a skilled, hands on and adaptable Electronics/Development Engineer to join our team and work on our next generation diagnostic product. Position Overview:
To play a key role in completing product development, testing, and optimizing of the diagnostic platform. This involves working hands-on with both molecular diagnostic equipment and test cartridges, focusing on optics, electrical engineering, prototyping, and EMC testing.

Help select and qualify key partners and suppliers to ensure a robust supply chain and successful delivery of highest quality end product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on design, prototype, and optimisation of the optical and electrical systems for the Company’s molecular diagnostic platform.
• Play a key role in the Company’s overall product development process, activities and milestones, involving collaboration with cross-functional teams in both Germany and Singapore.
• Perform EMC testing to ensure compliance with specified standards and troubleshooting of any system-level issues.
• Participate in the selection of key partners and suppliers, ensuring the highest quality materials and services are integrated into the product development process.
• Work closely with product development and manufacturing teams to improve existing designs and processes, ensuring high performance and reliability of the molecular diagnostic platform.
• Foster teamwork and collaboration across geographically dispersed teams to achieve project milestones.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related fields.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in hardware development, preferably within the medical device or diagnostics sectors.
  
• Strong understanding of optical systems design and integration, particularly in biochemical detection.
• Solid foundation in electrical engineering, with experience in circuit design, signal processing, and microcontroller integration.
• Experienced in prototyping and iterating hardware designs, with a focus on delivering practical, manufacturable solutions.
• Experienced with EMC testing and product compliance.
• Willing and flexible to travel between Germany and Singapore as needed for project collaboration, development, production and supply chain activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experienced with PCR or other molecular diagnostic platforms.
• Familiarity with Regulatory standards like FDA,CE and Quality standards like ISO 13485.
• Familiarity with Documentation processes during Product Development, in order to meet Regulatory and Quality requirements
• Experienced in supplier selection, qualification and vendor management, particularly in the medical devices space.

Responsibilities:

• Test Planning: Testing of products and software on various platforms based on requirements and specifications.
• Manual/automated Testing: Perform manual and automated testing on software applications to identify defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools. Communicate issues to the development team for resolution.
• Test Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and reports.
• Collaboration: Work closely with R&D Engineers and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and Qualifications:

The job
In the beginning of your employment you will be train in Singapore, where you will undergo in-house training in our products, both theoretical and practical. Here after you will be sent on service visits on vessels around the world.

Your primary tasks will be:

· Service jobs in fields of mechanics and electronics (performing installations etc.).

· Testing existing electrical projects.

· Troubleshooting and repairing internal and external.

· Customer instructions and customer service when you are on board the vessel.

· Overhaul of lubricators.

You have to be prepared on traveling approx. 130 days a year and need to be able to travel on short notice, also on public holidays, to implement service tasks on vessels which are either sailing, in port or in dock.

Your profile

We imagine that you have a background as marine engineer, preferable with sailing, knowledge of electrical and mechanical experience as well as engine would be an added advantages. You are used to working according to instructions and diagram-drawings. It will be an advantage if you already have experience in travel work.

You are comfortable with working alone on service jobs, far away from your everyday life, but also manage to take part in team work, when more colleagues are on the same job. You possess a high professional pride and understand that quality and service are essential to make you succeed in your job. You are fluent in English both in writing and speech.

The Site Engineer (Building) is responsible for assisting the Site Agent on the progress of site works and manpower related aspects of the project.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

• Monitor and review master construction program and preparation of catch-up program, if applicable.
• Monitor and supervise Engineers / foremen, ensure compliance to the quality procedures & standard of workmanship. Checking on quality and quantity of work by subcontractors.
• Preparation of detailed program for the site team to follow accordingly & completed in time.
• Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Technical team.
• Preparation of detailed method statements and work instructions for construction.
• Coordinates between sub-contractors/vendors/internal departments and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet schedules.
• Liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Technical Department.
• Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
• Adherence to safety practices in the work place.
• Technical expertise and knowledge in Foundation, Structural and Building works
• Proficient in Microsoft Project
• Good knowledge on method statements

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the supervision of building construction works.
• Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers (PE) Board.
• Candidate with relevant work experience on HDB projects would be an advantage.
