Accounts Payable Function

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering (Construction ) or a related field is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license, or actively working towards obtaining licensure.
• Min of 3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering and construction.
• Understanding of geotechnical exploration techniques and foundation design principles.
• Proficiency in conducting stability analyses, settlement calculations, and geotechnical inspections.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement geotechnical exploration programs, including field work analysis.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address geotechnical challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and actively contribute to the success of projects.
• Previous experience working with construction companies ( R & R) or consulting agencies is highly desirable.

About the role:

· Carry out site supervision duties by the Building Control Act.

· Ensure works are done appropriately following the approved drawings.

· Assist the Resident Engineer on all site and/or construction-related matters.

About you:

· Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

· Registered with IES as Resident Technical Officer (M&E).

· Minimum 10 years of construction experience in supervising mechanical works.

· A person with good communication skills and with ability to work in a team.

Duties shall include:

(a) Strategically plan and prepare reports and schedules, so as to ensure that the site has adequate resources to complete the tasks.

(b) Oversee and manage construction activities at the site, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes and safety regulations.

(c) Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues and ensure compliance with engineering and design requirements.

(d) Collaborate closely with project managers, architects and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.

(e) Analyze and interpret engineering plans, aerial photography, blueprints, topographical & geologic data and technical drawings to plan and execute construction activities.

(f) Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials, ensuring their compliance with industry standards.

(g) Identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures to minimize project delays, cost overruns and safety hazards.

(h) Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, change orders and quality control measures.
