1.Role Purpose

Mechanical Superintendent reports to the Construction Manager and is responsible for coordinating with yard construction team, resolving any field-related issues, and ensuring that all mechanical work is executed efficiently and in compliance with project specifications and industry regulations. • The degree of Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in mechanical construction in Process, Chemical, Power Plant Projects.

Summary:

As the Cargo Flow Supervisor, you will pptimize the vessel loading for all Commercial Lines and ensure the quality of service in compliance with the Group strategy and main required KPI’s.

Main Responsibilities:

• Suggest and initiate a short/long term action plan in case of over or underused allocation
• Define priorities and participate to the arbitration of potential disagreements within the Line (agents, commercial managers, partners, operations)
• Monitor and assess tools to anticipate major risks and implement an improvement process
• Realize studies to find areas of improvement, structural & optimization problem solving
• Organize and implement Group processes (optimization, customer service, costs, Group KPIs) according to Line specificities
• Participate to the development of new services in coordination with Line Direction as is necessary
• Monitor actively the important evolutions on systems and processes
• Evaluate and plan the different modifications of cargo flow, and participate to the transversal projects in order to plan the potential risks and adapt methods and tools if necessary
• Guarantee a service of quality (routing, transit time) through main KPIs requested by the Line Direction

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree Holder with minimum 4 years’ experience in cargo flow, with at least 1 year people management experience
• Ability to work and handle pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strong team player and communicates well with all parties
• Strong analytical skills and inherently eye for detail and comfortable working with complex numbers

Job Description:

• Plan and control the delivery of project design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and project objectives.
• Select and engage, then monitor the performance of external design partners within the discipline including their deliverables, cost and timeframes.
• Manage the design approval process in accordance with project requirements and program
• Prepare budgets and schedules of design delivery for management approval then manage and report the cost of design delivery in the project life cycle.
• Manage design to ensure the cost of the works meets project requirements.
• Manage and review milestone deliverables from the Design Consultants to ensure the compliance and adherence to project schedule, scope and Design Brief, Stakeholders’ requirements and comments, statutory codes and regulations, and company guidelines.
• Obtain, review and consolidate Stakeholders’ feedbacks on stage deliverables, and relay such feedbacks as directives to Consultants.
• Manage client and stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively with the project team.
• Supervise the work of subordinate design and drafting staff to ensure project requirements are met.
• Select and develop design management staff within the project by providing leadership and mentoring to ensure their design management competencies.
• Understand design compliance and reporting procedures and processes and leadership in the communication of requirements.
• Foster the interaction between design and construction teams to maximise innovation and project success.

Job Requirement:

• Recognised Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 12 years of engineering experience in the construction industry with 8 years of experience in the design of civil and structures of building related projects
• Experience in Condo/HDB/EC project will be advantage.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills
• Resourceful, self-driven, proactive, and able to foster collaboration
• Able to work well independently and as a team
