Department Overview:

Epworth HomeSweetHome was started in 2013 in partnership with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) as the first Therapeutic Group Home in Singapore. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Social Worker/Case Worker in the National Anti-Violence & Sexual Harassment Helpline (NAVH), you will help to attend to violence-related enquiries that come through the NAVH. You will be involved in supporting the following tasks required to right site these violence-related calls:

• Engage caller to understand severity of situation
• Gather and verify information with other sources (e.g. schools, family members, relatives, government databases)
• Conduct risk and safety assessment for cases
• Determine response time and right-siting of cases
• Engage agencies to ensure warm transfer of cases
• Engage key family members to work with an agency

Possess Bachelor Degree In Social Work or a relevant degree in social sciences or related discipline(s) (e.g. psychology)

Key Requirement

• Prior experience as a social worker in violence specialist centre and child protection work related field would be an advantage
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Be willing to work shift hours, where required, as the NAVH is a 24/7 helpline (shift allowance provided)
• Good written and communication skills
• Ability to converse in mother tongues e.g. Malay, Tamil or Mandarin would be an advantage

• Supervise utility diversion and trial trench works.

• Develop operational SOP/Procedures for utilities/services works.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience in underground utilities matter.
• Understand basic code compliance in Architectural, C&S and M&E works and construction sequence of work.
• Registered earthwork supervisor with EMA/SPPG and with relevant road construction experience.
• Positive attitude and good discipline and good team player
• Good interpersonal skills
• Preferred Candidate with LTA experience
