Main Responsibilities:

• Managing and steering existing Dealers and appointment of new Dealers in countries where the company are not represented or do not perform well.

The Manager of Field Application Specialists will be responsible for developing and growing local product application support team's capability to meet the Business Unit focus market segments and related customer requirement, fit the organization's technical leading position with its image as a solution provider. The holder of this position will build, manage, and lead the product application support team in accordance with the strategy, operational plan, and priorities of the ATS Business unit to achieve the organization's sales target especially in converting and creating the new business.

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Achieve BU product / product group Spec Win targets. Ensure actively support for the customers in designing (spec-in) the BU products and services in the (pre)clinical to commercial manufacturing process of cell/gene-therapy and DNA/RNA therapeutics.
• Manage a team of application specialists and ensure the continuity plan for the whole team
• Use technical knowledge and process experience to assist sales and application specialist in evaluating the trial requirement and maximize our business opportunities
• Establish and standardize trial process / report from technical level and support the results converting to the real sales
• Allocate and manage the application specialist resources in the respective territory together with sales managers in efficient way and match their regional sales plan
• Handle customer technical complaint together with Quality department properly
• Lead key products application development and write application publications
• Conduct research to define targeted customer segments and determine the key values that drive buying behavior for each segment
• Support field marketing activities and monitor effectiveness of marketing initiatives and campaigns
• Maintain the relationship with key product users and opinion leaders, build up products reference list and user list
• Provide training plans and improve the technical capability of individual product application specialist to let them become general specialist

Qualification & Skills:

• Academic degree in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, or similar life science disciplines
• Profound experience in the life science industry with a focus on cell & gene therapy, DNA-/RNA
• Similar leadership experience would be an advantage
• Strong understanding of the biopharma, vaccine, regenerative medicine, or other related industries
• Keen intellectual curiosity and leadership skillset to solve technical, scientific, business, and interpersonal challenges
• Excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functional teams without formal authority
• Know how to deal with the conflicts especially in dealing with customer complaint
• Good training and presentation skills
• Very good English skills, oral & written
• Proven software skills, e.g. CRM-System, Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Powerpoint, etc.), financial tools and others
• Willingness to travel (approx. 50%) within the territory / region and flexibility to international travels
