The Successful Applicant:

Job Description

The Growth Mentoring Team runs many important key programmes for NUS College in the domains of Coaching, Career Guidance and Community Building which are components of the NUSC experience. This encompasses the Year 1 & 2 programme on Purpose & Identity, Interdisciplinary Internship Programme, Human Libraries, Firesides, Career Guidance, Life Coaching, Year 3 & 4 Alumni Mentoring Programme, Year 4 Critical Reflection Programme and collaborations with Student Life and Alumni teams as examples of the team’s scope of work. In addition, Growth Mentoring is also the core team organizing and running the AUN-NUS Summer Programme: Asian Undergraduate Symposium (AUS).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Vice Dean (Special Programmes) and Team Lead (Growth Mentoring) in duties related to the coordination and development of Growth Mentoring Programmes and Special Programme projects that build self-confidence, purpose, identity and resilience, especially in the area of career guidance
• Provide support for team lead involved in designing and implementing these programmes
• Handle administrative backend operations and project management
• Manage programme logistics and organise events related to the projects
• Have interest in Writing, developing and administering new programmes and curriculum for NUS College.
• Reviewing and updating existing programmes, including customisation work ensuring they are current and relevant to the needs of NUS students.
• Staying up to date on trends and missing gaps in the youth development sector, ensuring clear learning outcomes for programmes.
• Work with the other administrative teams in the NUS College Deanery on cross-functional and shared duties

Qualifications

• A good degree with at least 1 to 2 years of working experience (preferred if in a similar role).
• Meticulous, analytical, organised, resourceful, independent and enjoy challenges
• Good interpersonal, written and communication skills
• Mature and adaptive and able to interact well with all levels of stakeholders
• Must be a team player with the ability to build a collaborative working relationship with people at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist to perform data analysis, create insightful visualizations, and manage data workflows using Tableau, Databricks, and AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain data analytics solutions using Tableau, Databricks, and AWS.

• Create and manage interactive dashboards and reports to visualize complex data sets.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

• Optimize data workflows and processes for efficiency and scalability.

• Provide training and support to team members on data tools and best practices.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and visualization.

• Build robust and reproducible data ingest pipelines to collect, clean, harmonise, normalise, and consolidate data sources.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2 - 3years of experience in the relevant field

• No experience is also welcome, on job training provided!

• Proven experience in data analytics and visualization using Tableau, Databricks, Sagemaker and AWS.

• Strong proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages.

• Experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Familiarity with healthcare data and regulations is a plus.

• Skilled in data acquisition and management with proficiency in data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis using relational and non-relational databases and cloud-based data platforms.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis.

• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and tools.

• Ability to design and implement data models and data architecture.

• Certification in Tableau, Databricks, Sagemaker or AWS is a plus.

• Good interpersonal skills, a detail-oriented & flexible person who can work across different areas within the team.

• Experience in cloud -based data platform.

• An understanding of finance data is a plus.
