Position: Marine NavCom Service Engineer/Radio Surveyor

As GMDSS Radio Surveyor, you will be performing accurate radio survey onboard the vessel as per IMO Regulation for all GMDSS radio equipment.

• After carrying out the radio survey with no error, you are responsible to issue the certificate and checklist to Class Surveyor and Master.
• Provide advice on GMDSS equipment for safety navigation and conform to IMO, SOLAS and non-SOLAS rules when applicable.
• Prepare survey report or spectral analysis or site scan when applicable.
• Timely renewal of Class accreditations, and get new Class approval when required.

• Working Hours: 7.25am-5pm

This resource will be tasked to provide after-sales service and new equipment installation support. Duties will include but are not limited to, repair/technical service for installed equipment, installation oversight, commissioning support, and chemical resupply support.

Training will be provided by a certified training center and on-site operational training at an ongoing installation.

This resource is expected to be based in Singapore and available to travel as needed.

Job Description

• Able to read design drawing & operate generator control panel/switchgear.
• Able to plan and arrange commissioning work at site.
• Design customized power generator controls circuit with PLC programming, Networking, HMI and switchgear layout
• Work closely with service engineer to handle factory test in workshop and commissioning at customer’s site
• Provide assistance to sales engineer in technical specification and attending technical meeting at customer site with sales
• Able to support and troubleshoot control issue through phone and email, remotely.
• Able to coordinate with site engineer and superintendent on site commissioning.
• To handle factory internal test in workshop.
• To handle Factory Acceptance Test in workshop with present of customer.
• Provide technical assistance to sales engineers.
• Coordinate with customer for technical issues to meet customer technical requirements.
• Able to support and troubleshoot control issue through phone and email, remotely.
• Able to support and troubleshoot program issue through internet/computer device.
• Monitor projects through completion, providing correction, modification or assistance to other company department as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in designing generator control systems, switchgear, or related power equipment systems.
  • Proven experience with low voltage and medium voltage switchgear design, control panel development, and power system studies.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, E3, or other CAD tools.
  • Competency in generator control module such Deif, Woodward etc.
  • Strong understanding of generator control technologies, including PLCs, HMIs, relays, switchgears, and synchronization modules.
  • Familiarity with load management systems, generator paralleling, and power distribution configurations.
  • Understanding of protection relay coordination and setup
• Knowledge of NEC, IEC, IEEE, UL, and other relevant electrical standards and codes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and coordinate across teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating documentation and liaising with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities to resolve complex electrical design challenges.

Other Qualifications

• Knowledge in renewable energy systems such as solar, or hybrid power plants.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and integration of generator control panels into broader industrial automation systems.

Work Environment

• The role may require occasional travel to project sites for commissioning, installation oversight, and troubleshooting.
• Primarily office-based but will also involve visits client sites and performing testing task in workshop facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

- To provide support for installation, repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance work on board as well as at the workshop for all electrical and electronic related equipment.

- To handle all technical-related matters independently including the preparation of service reports.

- To consolidate technical data and information for establishing service actitivities plan and strategy.

- To consolidate and control technical manuals and parts catalogues that are necessary for the service activities.

Requirements:

- Diploma or minimum Higher Nitec in Electrical / Electronics Engineering

- At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field is required for the position of Service Engineer

- Fresh graduates will be considered for the position of Technician and training will be provided

- Able to work under stress and harsh environment

- Able to work long and odd hours

- Able to communicate and write English

- Good communication skills

- Posseses a valid class 3 driving license will be preferred

- Singaporean / PR preferred

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Compressor Service Technician or similar role.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Relevant certifications or training in compressor maintenance is a plus.

Job Description

1. Manage warranty administration on Material Handling Equipment (forklifts / industrial trucks)

2. Act as the main coordinator in tracking & submitting documentations for items under warranty for all service centres with principals

3. Provide technical advice and support for MHE

4. Liaise closely with principals and cross functions to update principal on all the abnormal breakdown cases

5. Ensure relevant updates on all technicians’ laptop relating to the MHE

6. Arrange for modification of forklift as and when requested by customers
