Assistant Professor (tenure track) Positions in Ecology

The Asian School of the Environment (ASE, https://www.ntu.edu.sg/ase) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore seeks to appoint several Assistant Professors (tenure track) in tropical ecology. We broadly welcome applications across all areas of tropical ecology. This can include, but is not limited to, forest ecology, marine ecology, biodiversity research, conservation ecology, soil ecology, or plant or animal ecology.

Successful candidates should demonstrate the potential to build a world-class research programme and a commitment to education and mentorship of students, and to meaningfully contribute to our ambitions to have societal and environmental impact in Singapore and the surrounding region. They will teach within ASE at both undergraduate and at postgraduate levels. We are particularly interested in candidates who would be interested in teaching introductory-level ecology courses, including statistics.

Applicants must have a PhD in ecology, environmental biology, environmental science, geography, marine science, or in a related field, and show evidence of impactful, independent research in the field of ecology. We will consider a candidate’s past outputs, current research programme, likelihood to obtain future funding support, and potential and enthusiasm to develop their own research leadership in tropical ecology. Main Responsibilities:
