A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*STAR ID Labs) is seeking for a Research Officer to join us in our mission to be a leading centre of infectious diseases research. A*STAR ID Labs aims to develop a cohesive A*STAR response to drive and deliver translational infectious diseases research to better health and economic outcomes.

The laboratory of Antimicrobial Resistance and Drug Development in A*STAR ID Labs is looking for a highly self-motivated individual to join us as a Research Officer. We are presently developing a programme on applied phage biology and are looking for a suitable candidate with experience in microbiology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Basic bacterial culture and handling
• Some knowledge on bacteriophage biology
• Design and conduct experiments including data collection and analysis.
• Summarize and present the data in lab meetings.
• Develop new research techniques and approaches.
• Collaborative spirit with internal and external collaborators
• Perform maintenance of inventory and procurement of laboratory consumables
• Ensure safe technical practices and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Life Sciences/ Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or related field
• 2-3 years' experience or applicants with relevant academic experience are welcome to apply.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Adaptable to working with different organisms.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• Willing to learn and feel comfortable working with various bacteria.
• Highly adaptable at working with different techniques and bacterial species.

• Develop a deep understanding of prospects' needs and align them with the company's products and services.
• Assess marketing-generated leads (MQL) engagement activities, ensuring alignment with the company’s ideal customer profile.
• Gather needs and requirements of MQL to establish qualified leads (SQL).
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with agencies and customers.
• Collaborate with Marketing to provide lead nurturing content for continuous customer engagement and campaign optimization feedback.
• Keep detailed notes of engagements to monitor and track pipeline activities.
• Stay updated on the company’s products, services, industry trends, and competitor offerings for effective representation to potential customers.

Requirements

• Diploma and above
• Good spoken of English and Chinese
• Team player with the ability to flourish with minimal guidance, and proactive.
• Experience in sales, marketing, travel, and the yachting industry is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• Proven sales techniques with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Comfortable performing outbound activities that convert to sales appointments.
• Prior experience in CRM or loyalty solutions is advantageous.
