Key Tasks include:-

Job Requirements

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in our data migration project. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the data ingestion and ETL components, ensuring accurate and reliable data flows to our data warehouse.

What you'll do:

• Deep-dive into the data, uncovering trends and patterns through exploratory data analysis.
• Prepare and clean the data, ensuring its quality and readiness for migration.
• Understand source data and map it effectively to target systems.
• Design and implement the ETL framework for our data warehouse using industry-standard tools.
• Build and maintain DBT pipelines to transform raw data into ready-to-use data models for reporting and visualization.
• Develop the data ingestion framework, loading data from source files to a staging layer using DBT.
• Leverage Python to orchestrate data pipelines, connecting ingestion, DBT, and Power BI.
• Monitor data quality and identify any issues, reporting them back to source systems.
• Implement best practices and map rules to effectively move data across ODS, SOR, and data marts.
• Set up, configure, and schedule ETL jobs for smooth data flow.
• Develop data pipeline observability tests in DBT, detecting anomalies, freshness issues, and data quality problems.
• Perform unit testing on ETL components and support system integration and user acceptance testing.

Who you are:

• A data enthusiast with a Master's/Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business analytics, information systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 4 years of related experience.
• Experienced in building cloud data pipelines and data warehousing, ideally within a cloud data warehouse environment.
• Proficient in ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and DBT Cloud.
• Familiar with modern data stacks, particularly Snowflake, Airflow, and AWS data services.
• A strong communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Bonus points:

• Experience with big data techniques like Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, and Spark.
• An understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining, and text mining concepts.
• A track record of solving problems with data-driven approaches.
