Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance/ Business Management or related field.

· Good understanding of Technology Finance.

· Above average excel skills (Advance formulas, pivot tables, building of reporting dashboard). Strong in data analysis using excel.

· Have working experience and advance understanding of SAP system (PEMS) would be a plus.

· Experienced in software and related maintenance contractual/commercial processing will be a plus.

· Good knowledge in Power Point and have prior experience in preparing PPT slides for reporting purpose. Knowledge in Power BI will be a plus.

Job description

This is a Group role designed to set-up and manage a high performing finance global team, to provide accurate information to the Management team & Board of Directors.

Reporting to the Group Chief Financial Officer, you will take on responsibility for preparing consolidated accounts, cash flows, working capital, management reporting and KPI’s.

o You will be applying your knowledge of IFRS accounting to consolidate and report financial information for the group.

• You will be ensuring and enforcing compliance for accurate reporting from the business units and provide guidance and support on IFRS accounting matters and provide reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• The role requires full understanding of how to run a group function, set up an effective accounting manual, ensure compliant internal controls are adhered to along with responsibility of maintaining a relevant delegation of authority matrix across accounting systems.
• You will be responsible to ensure that data submissions from the business units and regions are submitted accurately each month & for budget periods, including reporting compliance and enforcing accountability of this data.
• You will be responsible for managing the year end group statutory accounts completion and managing the external audit relationship. You will work with external stakeholders such as fund administers & tax advisers, etc. to manage the reporting process.
• You will oversee Treasury, Risk and Internal Audit with a view to building-up this function over time.
• The role requires being the technical in-house expert on a variety of accounting treatments including IFRS 16 and could include ensuring the group manages its debt interest and banking relationships correctly.
• You will be responsible for preparing the financial statements and manage all finance related tasks for the subsidiary in Singapore. You will implement an ERP/accounting system and provide accounting shared services to all the subsidiary companies. The role may also require you to support the Group Chief Financial Officer on acquisitions, due diligence and strategic decision making, so an awareness and understanding of the business model and wider finance function

Responsibilities

 Responsible for preparing and delivering consolidated financial reporting including:

o Regular management reporting, operating profit and debt report

o Monthly management, cashflow, working capital, margin analysis, financial and board reporting. o Half-yearly and full-year external reporting and results

o Prepare the monthly/quarterly packages for the Board

o Support the quarterly forecast and budget process

o Statutory audit for the group consolidated accounts

 Responsible for the interaction with business unit managers, including:

o Management of all data submissions, ensuring data is timely, complete and accurate

o Understanding the information received, ensuring analysis and explanations are insightful and useful

o Resolution of practical and technical accounting issues including an assessment of impact on the company

 Responsible for preparing and delivering financial reporting for the subsidiary in Singapore, included audited accounts

 Responsible for providing accounting shared services to the subsidiary companies

 Responsible for the provision of financial support to the other internal and external stakeholders, including provision of information for decision making purposes.

 Oversee Treasury, Risk and Internal Audit function

 Ad hoc internal and external financial reporting, analysis and modelling to analyse scenarios that impact the company

 Own and manage the company Accounting Manual, completing periodic updates to ensure document remains fit for purpose.

 Contribution to the drafting and implementation of new accounting policies

Qualifications

 Qualified accountant, ideally ACA, ACCA with min.15-18 years’ experience in a similar Group function role

 Experience with the Big 4 audit firms and accounting under IFRS with an excellent understanding of fundamental key accounting principles

 Solid experience working on consolidations for a Group with multi-currencies

 Previous experience working with senior management and in a global capacity

 Experience of delivering a significant contribution to year end accounts in a MNC

 Strong analytical ability and eye for detail and accuracy, with an ability to take a broader view

 Technically strong with high level of awareness of IFRS including IFRS 16 lease accounting and UK GAAP, including cash flow reporting, non-GAAP measures, impairment assessment etc

 Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and identify and champion delivery of a process of continuous improvement.

 Ability to quickly understand finance and systems processes, drive the new accounting system implementation and take the lead on delivery of key projects

The Finance Intern will support the CNBC Asia Pacific Finance team.

This role is ideal for university undergraduates aspiring to gain hands-on experience in accounting and finance, with responsibilities across both the Financial Planning & Analysis and Controllership functions. As a Director in Structured Export & Trade Finance (m/f/d) based in Singapore, you are the central point of contact at Commerzbank for origination, structuring and execution of export finance transactions for the Asia-Pacific region.

I. Mission of the Asia Sustainable Finance Team:

WWF has identified the finance sector as a key driver of global economic activity with which we must engage to successfully deliver on our long-term conservation mission. To do this, we work with key finance sector players including banks, investors, regulators, and stock exchanges, across six focus areas:

1. Regulations and Guidelines: We provide recommendations and facilitate dialogue between regulatory authorities and financial institutions (FIs) to issue harmonized regulations and guidelines that raise the bar for sustainable finance at the national and regional level.

2. Standards: We help FIs understand what makes certain standards and certification schemes credible to help them ensure that their due diligence and verification processes assure robust sustainability practices.

3. Capacity Building: We empower FIs through capacity building on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues through industry-wide workshops and bilateral training sessions. Our training covers a range of sectors and thematic focus areas and helps FIs to better assess and price risk, value companies, and develop new products.

4. Research & Tools: We conduct research, develop best practice guides, and benchmark FIs’ progress on ESG integration to ensure timely progress towards a resilient and sustainable financial system. We also help FIs to understand and implement cutting-edge tools so they can better understand, measure, and manage evolving ESG risks and opportunities.

5. Engagement: We help investors exert their influence and facilitate large scale, meaningful change by providing research and analysis that supports their engagement with portfolio companies over key ESG issues.

6. Green Financial Solutions: We work with FIs to support the development of innovative green financial and channel financing to nature based solutions based on science-based criteria that create measurable environmental and social impacts alongside competitive financial returns.

III. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The VP will contribute to the general work of the team work under the direction of senior team members across the following areas, part of the responsible investment team:

Accelerate financing for nature-based projects across Asia

• Develop strategy for financing nature-based projects in Asia in collaboration with WWF country offices and finance practice

• Work with projects in Asia to structure project plans to meet requirements of donors / financiers

• Develop relationships with funds and philanthropic organisations in Singapore that invest in nature-based projects to widen potential funding sources for projects

• Conduct research on emerging green and blue financial solutions to support the development and structuring of innovative financial solutions to mobilize additional capital to protect and restore nature and communities

Stakeholder engagement and relationship management

• Manage relationships with key finance sector stakeholders, including investors (asset owners, asset managers), regulators, government ministries, etc.

• Manage relationships with conservation project leads across WWF Asian countries to develop a pipeline of bankable projects

• Work closely with other WWF national offices in the region to co-execute country-specific finance sector engagement strategies, taking into account the varying interests and priorities of different finance sector stakeholders, including investors (asset owners, asset managers), stock exchanges, regulators, government ministries, etc.

ESG research and tools

• Conduct research on topics including ESG trends, analysis of financial institutions’ performance on ESG integration/risk management and corporate sustainability disclosure and performance

• Contribute to the development of reports and tools to support capacity building, policy development and investor collective engagement

Communications

• Represent WWF perspectives, present WWF research and tools, and demonstrate thought leadership on sustainable finance at regional/domestic conferences and other events

• Manage the communication of research findings and WWF positions to finance sector stakeholders through multiple channels, e.g. press releases for mainstream/trade media, op-eds/blogs, interviews, social media, etc.

• Manage communications with other WWF national offices and other relevant internal stakeholders to identify and address potential conflicts in objectives and interests

Training and capacity building

• Develop and leverage technical expertise to support the organization and content development for capacity building workshops, webinars and other events targeted at finance sector stakeholders (asset managers and private banks in particular) on sustainable finance and ESG issues/trends, including climate and nature themes

• Work with WWF conservation, commodity, climate and water experts to distil insights and knowledge into guidance and recommendations for the finance sector

• Build capacity of wider WWF network on sustainable finance and ensure understanding of its contribution to their respective interests and priorities

Fundraising, budgeting, and reporting

• Contribute to writing funding proposals to secure long-term funding for both the Singapore sustainable finance team and regional offices

• Assist in monitoring, evaluating, budgeting and reporting of project performance against planned objectives and deliverables and milestones

Required Skills and Competencies

• 5+ years of experience in sustainable finance or related field, preferably with experience in financing of nature based solutions

• Able to prioritize, work in a dynamic environment and operate under tight deadlines
