Finance department represents one of the core departments of licensed entity Walletory Pte Ltd. Its main obligations consist of bookkeeping (accounting and payroll) and finance management, comprising budget planning, controlling, reporting and its evaluation.
Responsibilities and main activities:
- Responsible for preparing and delivering accurate and complete financial reports
● Preparing financial reports
● Interpreting financial information to managerial staff and recommending further courses of action
● Submitting reports via MASNET in accordance with regulatory requirements set by MAS
- Responsible for keeping and managing the company’s accounts
● Managing balance sheets and P/L statements
● Calculating taxes and preparing tax returns (with the help of tax advisors where necessary)
● Preparing of financial statements
● Managing all accounting transactions
● Ensuring timely bank payments
● Reconciling accounts payables and receivables
● Preparing of salaries, CPF payments, submitting of salary information to IRAS
● Preparing and providing of information for financial and internal audits
● Liaising with auditors to ensure that appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
- Responsible for planning and managing the company’s budget
● Analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans
● Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
● Managing the preparation of the company’s budget
● Assisting in overseeing operations of the finance department, setting goals and objectives together with management and cooperating with outsourcing companies
● Corresponding with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
Requirements
● Experience with the preparation and submission of reports via MASNET will be an advantage;
● Finance-related education with preference for those with Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Banking or Economics;
● At least 5 years of work experience in preparation of financial reports, bookkeeping and submission of financial reports and preferably from banking sector or payment services or financial institution; and
● Analytical thinking, detailed-oriented, and diligent. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
