• To perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act.
• To supervise the timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents and site instructions.
• To check mock-ups done on site, where necessary.
• To ensure that the required construction tests in connection with the construction works are carried out where necessary.
• To prepare defect lists, monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified.
• Write daily reports of works done by contractor and record daily manpower status on site.
• Inspect and maintain records of equipment/machinery/licensed machinery operator/permits (both statutory and aviation requirements).
• To ensure that the structural elements or critical works of the construction works are being carried out in accordance with the approved plans and with any terms and conditions imposed by the Commissioner of Building Control where necessary.

Requirement:

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution or relevant qualifications.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least three (3) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to major construction works in buildings, services laying and lighting & control systems.
• Accreditation with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore are preferred.
• Certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.

Accredited Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with BCA / IES / ACES

Responsibilities:

To carry out thoroughly review and verify all project-related drawings (including working drawings, shop drawings, authority submission drawings, and as-built drawings) and specifications for all Works. To carry out construction supervision of construction works as required under the BCA regulations and ensure that the design documentation is safely and accurately implemented on site.

Responsible for the co-ordination of work on site and ensure construction safety.

To ensure that all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications.

• To improve risk result and risk quality (risk mitigation) of the credit portfolio within his/ her decision-making authority

Formal education:

Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):

- Work experience

• Minimum 3 years Risk Management of Korean corporates for Associate level, 5 years AVP level, 7 years for VP level, either within an International bank, Korean Headquartered bank, or Leading Rating Agency. (Mandatory).
• Demonstrable track record of transaction execution across multiple Korean corporates / sectors (Mandatory).
• Good command of Korean language at a minimum level of C1 (CEFR) or Level 5 (TOPIK) for non-native speaker as this role will need to liaise frequently with Korean speaking clients (Mandatory)
• Formal Credit risk trained and full understanding of lending principles (Mandatory)
• Excellent communication in English as well as presentation and marketing skills. Basic German language an advantage. Open to travel to Korea on an ‘as required’ basis.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, especially financial models, and rating systems
• Positive attitude to take on special tasks involving inter branch liaison and dealing with Head Office on risk operational issues.
