The role of the Accounts Receivable is to ensure payments received for goods and services, and records these transactions accordingly. It also includes securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies.

Responsibilities

Senior/Accounts Officer duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

The Senior/Accounts Officer shall be assigned duties in Shared Services:

• Processing and sending out invoices;
• Posting of incoming receipts entries;
• Reporting all daily work-related activities;
• Following very specific and strict deadlines;
• Generating reminder letters and Statement of Accounts to customers;
• Investigating and solving customer complaints and queries;
• Being on the look-out for delayed or missed payments and other such irregularities;
• Month-end and year-end closing including preparing journal entries and posting;
• Reconciling and following up for outstanding items on clearing accounts, debtors’ aging and bank reconciliations;
• Communicating/liaising with customers, Business Units, auditors and statutory bodies;
• Ensuring compliance with the company’s policy and procedures;
• Preparing quarter GST reports;
• Participate in system enhancement testing;
• Administrative and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Minimum Diploma in Accountancy
• Relevant working experience in a Shared Services environment preferred

Skills

Technical skills include:

• Good working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
• Good numerical and Excel skills

Generic skills include:

• Meticulous in carrying out work orders
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with a penchant for improvements

What you will be doing

This role aims to create a positive customer service experience for our members.

• Providing excellent customer service to Members, addressing enquiries, facilitating bookings and/or requests related to Club facilities, programmes, services, and activities, and/or other ad-hoc requests;
• Attend to members’ enquiries during the stipulated shift hours;
• Operates the Phone System, POS System and other payment systems;
• Process bookings of sports facilities (make / issue booking chits and keys to the facilities where applicable / turn on or off the facilities lights where applicable);
• Ensure proper recording of booking information and filing of booking chits;
• Issue towels and locker keys to members and ensure members sign out and sign in for them;
• Ensure related keys, equipment and towels are returned by members after use;
• Handle registration and withdrawal of sports activities and training programmes;
• Assist in administrative duties (letter typing, data entry, handling of mailers, photocopy of forms, replenishment of items for the counter etc.);
• Survey sports facilities to ensure all sports equipment/facilities are in proper working conditions and assist in sports activities;
• Addressing any member feedback, and/or concerns professionally;
• Be in proper attire at all times when attending to members’ enquiries during the stipulated shift hours;
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time by management.

What we are looking for

• Preferably GCE N/O Levels (or equivalent) or ITE Nitec/Higher Nitec in Services Management / Hospitality Operations / Event Management / Sport Management / Business Administration;
• Proficiency in oral and written English, another language is a plus (to liaise with the English & Mandarin-speaking associates);
• At least 1 year of working experience in the hospitality industry handling frontline services;
• Candidates without experience are welcome;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• A positive disposition and strong team player;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office skills required;
• Rostered rotated shift duties on a 5.5-day work week.

JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)

• Liaise closely with Senior Manager, EHS (Environment Health Safety) and Head of Project to develop, implement, maintain, and improve EHS Management Systems and safety culture at project level.
• Lead daily toolbox meeting, safety meetings, safety inspections, safety training and all other EHS initiatives or activities to maintain a high level of safety at work site.
• Monitor and take disciplinary actions against unsafe acts/conditions on project site to comply with the Company Safety Management System and the WSHA and its subsidiary legislation.
• Responsible for accident reporting and investigations including near misses and any industrial disease cases at work site.
• Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify the irregularities.

REQUIREMENT

• Must be a registered WSHO with the relevant authorities with at least 3 years’ of relevant working experience in a construction firm
• Other pre-requisites are excellent team spirit, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
• Willing to work night shift on rotation basis will be added advantage

Description:

• To take instructions from the Overall Site Project Coordinator.
• To ensure that the Civil, building and its related works are constructed in accordance with Drawings and Specifications and the Building Control Act and Regulations.
• To monitor and report on the progress of civil and structural engineering works.
• To carry out inspection of civil and structural engineering works prior to concreting.
• To supervise concreting/ spalling concrete repair work, hoisting of components and demolition works.
• To carry out checks on compaction and curing of concrete.
• To carry out audit checks on striking of formwork, re-props and removal of props.
• To carry out audit checks on quality and erection of precast components, if applicable.
• To facilitate audits by HDB’s representatives or other relevant authorities on the work-site housekeeping, environmental control, construction safety, quality of the works and Project documentation.
• To carry out audit checks on construction of joints such as pressure grouting and splice sleeve grouting.
• To check on structural steel works.
• To carry out inspections on structural defects rectification works.
• To carry out supervision and inspection of the works as directed by the Overall Site Project Coordinator/ Site Project Coordinator.
• To ensure that records of all civil and structural engineering works, including records of tests, defect rectification, inspections, work progress, materials and equipment on site, safety, etc, are timely updated, properly kept.
• To attend site, progress, variation, and coordination meetings.
• To verify all reports and claims relating to Civil & Structural / Mechanical & Electrical Engineering works submitted by the Project contractor,
• To resolve Project contractor’s technical queries.
• To liaise with all relevant authorities.
• To check all drawings and specifications for discrepancies and report to the Site Project Coordinator.
• To ensure that structural works (including spalling concrete and structural cracks repair and defects rectification) are carried out in a safe and proper manner.
• To obtain the duly endorsed method statements and drawings for the spalling concrete and structural cracks repair and supervise them accordingly.
• To assist the Site Project Coordinators to conduct inspection of the completed building for Works.
• To carry out audit check on the safety provisions on site.
• To provide feedback on site problems, safety issues, discrepancies and irregularities to the Site Project Coordinator.

Requirement :

• At least 3 years relevant working experience in the supervision of Civil & Structural aspect of works;
• Accredited as Resident Technical Officers with The Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES);
• Proficient in using Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint;

Description:

• Monitor progress of work against schedule and inform the Overall Site Project Coordinator /HDB when there is a delay or is behind schedule.
• Supervise all architectural works.
• Provide feedback to the Overall Site Project Coordinator /HDB any discrepancies / problems / irregularities observed that require Overall Site Project Coordinator/HDB’s attention.
• Provide feedback on defects and ensure that defects identified are satisfactorily rectified by Project contractor.
• Supervise water tightness tests and, witness and record the results of the water tests (If applicable). Site Project Coordinator.

Requirement :

• At least 3 years relevant working experience in the supervision of Architectural aspect of works;
