This position works under the direct supervision of the Emerging Voices (EV) Specialist. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Coordinates Mission Public Diplomacy outreach to Emerging Voices audiences through Experiential Learning (EXPL) projects and events, typically “learning through experience” activities such as tech or entrepreneurship camps, music and sports programs, journalism training, and other focused community engagement programs. Job Summary

The job holder (2 years contract) reports to Director CDLT and is part of the management team that evaluates emerging pedagogy and technology related to education including implementing viable technological tools to enhance teaching and learning.

The job holder will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the curriculum and content development are developed successfully, and any learning technology adopted are with continuity through the provision of training, and the creation of self-help resources for users to enhance learning and good learner academic performance.

Full Time Faculty, Assistant Professor (Education Track) Position in Sociology, School of Social Sciences (SOSS)

Established in 2007, the SMU School of Social Sciences (SOSS) provides high quality undergraduate and graduate education expanding SMU’s pedagogical strategy to the study of society, government, and individuals embedded within an increasingly complex world. With faculty expertise and research spanning the disciplines of psychology, political science, sociology, and philosophy, SOSS’s research covers key thematic areas such as international development, policy and politics, Southeast Asian studies, social movements, and sustainability. Position

The School of Social Sciences (SOSS) invites applications for an Assistant Professor (Education Track) position in Sociology to begin in July 2025. The candidate is expected to teach undergraduate courses across several major areas of sociology.

We seek candidates with a demonstrated record of excellent teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in sociology.
