1. Manage accounts receivable and payable, bank reconciliations. Other responsibilities of an accounting assistant may include:
2. Data Entry: logging transactions, recording and reviewing journal entries, creating invoices using ERP and creating spreadsheets.
3. Clerical Duties: daily operations, petty cash reimbursements and petty cash book.
4. Follow up on collections, receivable and overdues from customers.
5. Processing of credit notes from goods returns and exchanges and expired/ defective goods.
6. Customer Service: communicate with vendors and customers about invoices and payments.
7. Compliance reporting: Filing of GST reports and statutory reports.
8. Year end activities: assisting to verify unaudited financial reports- balance sheets, statements of income, general ledgers, trial balance report, accruals, prepayments, and schedules etc.
9. Using Microsoft Excel (intermediate level) for analysis of reports.
