THE ROLE:
SEMI is seeking a Sr. Specialist for our Sustainability group. This position is responsible for managing environmental and social stewardship projects. Our SEMI Sustainability programs is themed on rallying the semiconductor value chain to bring about collective urgent climate action. The Sustainability program is focused on making a positive impact on our member’s response to carbon emission requirements, Circular economy efforts, and positive activities to accelerate our industry’s response to changes coming at them.
This a full-time, exempt position that reports directly to the Vice President of SEMI Sustainability at SEMI HQ in Milpitas, CA.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and manage activities across ESG working groups
· Organize meetings and events with communications to stakeholders through multiple channels and across venues, e.g., conferences, workgroups, workshops, webinars
· Document and coordinate action items such as meeting summaries, 1:1s with committee leadership, regional internal webinars.
· Communicate status and updates internally and externally.
· Monitor engagement statistics.
Assist with administering membership, including sending agreements, responding to and coordinating responses to member company legal queries, membership dues, and anything else they might need to make a positive membership decision.
· Own metrics on member retention. Support logistics support for members.
· Enter new members into SEMI systems (NetSuite, SFDC and Higher Logic)
Support communications lead on communication between stakeholders including, but not limited to, SEMI members, EHSS Technical and Business leaders, marketing, communications, R&D, event managers, Governing Council, etc.
· Present updates to the various stakeholders, members and staff displaying comfort and credibility in front of groups
Support Monthly Sustainability Advisory Council Meetings
· Support the SAC Calendar
· Support agenda build and speaker engagement
· Engage members, promotion and upload material post meeting
Perform website updates to keep website current.
· Refresh and do housekeeping of the website.
Support special projects
· No more than two projects at any time
· Expected travel less than 10%

FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OR PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS degree or equivalent industry experience required
2-5 years’ experience in program/project management, PMP certification preferred
Tech-savvy. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Semiconductor, Global electronics industry experience is desired
Strong English communication skills (both speaking and writing)
Preferred but not required:
o Technical background
o CRM experience
o Website management and updating skills
o Bilingual skills
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be able to coordinate activity with a high level of technical detail. The position is customer facing and requires an individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and a desire to provide world-class customer service. A technical background is helpful but not required if the candidate has the desire to learn about technologies and issues related to the Sustainability community.
