Who are we looking for
We are looking for a People Coordinator to join our team. This role will support a wide range of People activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee events, record keeping, benefits administration, and employee engagement.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about People and loves working in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment. We are seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual with strong administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
What a “HR Coordinator/Associate” means to us
There are certain functions and capabilities we believe are essential to the role:
- Assisting with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, assisting in shortlisting, and conducting reference checks
- Coordinating the onboarding process for new employees, including completing new hire paperwork, conducting new hire orientations, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Handle all Work Pass matters, from applications to renewals and cancellations for WP, SPASS, and EP
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including administering employee benefits programs, plans including enrollment, changes, and terminations (eg. insurance and wellness)
- Planning and organising in-house or off-site activities, like parties, celebrations and conferences
- Responding to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and providing information and assistance throughout the employment lifecycle
- Maintain employee records, related documentation, maintain leave management and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee data
- Assisting with compliance activities, including ensuring the organization's compliance with employment laws and completing required reporting
- Supporting the development and implementation of People initiatives and systems
- Coordinate with IT support-related matters
- Provide exceptional experience to employees and managers, and assisting to resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Handle general administrative duties and ad-hoc projects.Â

What Skills/Knowledge/Experience You Need
Skills and capabilities we believe are highly relevant include:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adjust to a startup's quickly changing needs
- Knowledge of employment laws and other compliance issues
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office, HR information systems, and other relevant software applications
- Good to have experience with recruitment and onboarding
- Familiar with Excel and data management, including tracking employee data, generating reports
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity
- Passionate about creating a positive work culture and employee experience
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
