Responsibilities:

• Checking of customers PO, issue proforma invoices.
• Issue shipping orders (local as well as overseas), delivery orders, packing lists, invoices, export LC s’
• Issuing of CO, & etc if LC terms requires
• Liaising with forwarders for shipment and correspondence to customer if necessary
• Filing, achieving files if files are too bulky; maintenance of filing system.
• Answering phone calls, general administration & postage mailing
• Sales analysis reporting and other ad-hoc if requires by superior
• To backup department staff duty once department staff is on leave

Requirements:

• At least 1 year admin Experience, on job training provided
• Familiar with export shipping document will be an advantage
• Must support OT if requires
• Familiar with Microsoft Software

Human Resource

· Support Group Heads and HR Lead in tracking personnel deployment to projects, manpower cost charging and update to payroll department.

· Support recruitment and onboarding processes, including scheduling of interviews, collating input from hiring managers, performing reference checks, assigning work cubicles and printing of staff passes.

· Coordinate townhall events, staff briefing and teambuilding activities. These include working with the relevant process owners to plan event agenda, collate presentation materials and support event logistics.

· Process invoices submitted by partner institutions for manpower costs relating to joint-appointees and secondees. Generate invoices for TCOMS personnel seconded to external institutions.

· Track personnel?s learning and development plans submitted by ROs and ensure timely progress and completion of courses.

· Support HR Lead in manpower budget and resource planning.

Event and Publicity

· Carry out manpower planning for events such as TCOMS open-house, workshops and conference booth exhibitions.

· Support event registrations, setups and other site logistics.

· Support collation of publicity materials for uploading to TCOMS website and social media.

Office Administration

· Provide secretariat support for Senior Management?s meetings and travels as and when required;

· Process claims submitted by staff, such as overtime transport and meal claims.

(Any ad-hoc duties as required by supervisor/Reporting Officer.)

Requirements

· Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or equivalent.

· Minimum 2 years of work experience.

· Experience in human resource roles or office administration will be an advantage.

· Possess Can-Do spirit. Resourceful and able to work independently and in teams.

· Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

· Excellent organizational skills and ability to muti-task.

Job Description

The National University of Singapore Centre for Trusted Internet and Community (CTIC) is dedicated to the inter-disciplinary study of the Internet and its implications on the society of the future. The first-of-its-kind centre will integrate social and behavioural science research, digital technologies, data-driven approaches, and policy studies to holistically examine the Internet and its societal impact including topics such as the future of privacy, freedom of expression, misinformation and disinformation, as well as maintaining social security and stability.

This is an exciting opportunity to join NUS Centre for Trusted Internet & Community as a Research Associate, details are as follows:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable full-time Research Associate to work on a project about assessing the impact of digital information resilience, funded by the Ministry of Education AcRF Tier 3 grant. The contract is renewable up to 3 years.

The successful candidate will assist the funded research project entitled “Digital Information Resilience: Restoring Trust and Nudging Behaviours in Digitalisation”. The candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team of scholars based in Singapore to advance research and knowledge on digital information resilience. The project aims to identify and measure digital information resilience for digital readiness, inclusion and safety based on an original indicator framework.

The successful candidate will assist to develop new indicators for measuring digital information resilience. They will conduct interviews, facilitate focus groups, develop and implement surveys, and code the data-sets using qualitative and quantitative research methods. They will also be required to support project management, research admin and deliverables such as reports/journal articles, workshops and webinars.

Qualifications

• At least a PhD or Masters degree or equivalent in the Social Sciences/Humanities, and demonstrated research experience in communications and media studies, including digital media policy and regulation.
• An interest and knowledge in digital wellbeing, information resilience, digital inequality/divide, and new media will be a bonus.
• Good project management, communications management, data administration skills, and an aptitude for working in an interdisciplinary team environment;
• Research experience in qualitative research (e.g., interview, focus groups) desirable;
• Strong research skills and experience in using (or willingness to learn) qualitative data analysis software (NVivo);
• Excellent command of spoken and written English, and the ability to write for a variety of audiences;
• Strong ability to perform editing work on manuscripts;
