Duties and Responsibilities

 Undertake menu planning

 Oversee and participate in the preparation and cooking and serving of main meals, snacks, cakes, etc. in accordance with specified menus.

 Determine quantities to be cooked and size of portions to be served, taking into account diets to meet medical, ethnic and personal needs.

 Check quantity and quality of stock received and notify suppliers of deficiencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The dormitory supervisor resides in the program’s summer dormitory, monitors program participants in the evening and overnight, and provides supervision on program field trips. The dormitory supervisor also supervises the residential staff and program tutors, who are primarily undergraduate students, and serves as a liaison between the Upward Bound staff and staff from Boston University's Office of Residence Life and Office of Residential Safety.
