This is a contract role for an Assistant Engineer located in Ang Mo Kio. Our client is a Japanese multinational engineering, electrical equipment and electronics corporation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. You will involves extracting logs from electronics products and preparing them for hardware investigation using tools like jigs and laptops, all according to standard procedures. You’ll also help with the investigation process and enter data into both internal and authorities' systems. Regular system checks are needed to keep track of progress, and you may need to pack products for overseas investigations. Additionally, you’ll collect faulty goods from approved workshops and care centers, while keeping an updated inventory of these items.

Qualifications:

• ITE in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or years of equivalent technical knowledge
• Basic knowledge operation system like Windows, Linux

The ideal candidate will have a background in mass communications or events management and a proven track record in supporting with detail, events with scale, engaging with communities, coordinating volunteers, and implementing volunteer initiatives and events. This role requires attention to detail, good interpersonal and organizational skills, with a passion for driving positive change through effective communication and stakeholder engagement in a public healthcare setting. Prior experience in the sector is not necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Support the crafting and implementing of strategic communication plans to enhance organizational visibility and stakeholder engagement.
• Support the planning, liaison and effective execution of events, planning and execution, including procurement of service partners and vendors, the development and management of project budgets and timelines, managing RSVPs, preparing administrative programs for staff and VIPs. These events will include corporate events, townhalls, public education roadshows and campaigns.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to manage event logistics and deliverables and ensure successful outcomes.
• Develop event-related materials, such as publicity posters, registration forms, signages, and administration programmes for guests
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports on project and event outcomes and impact
• Organize recruitment, training, and management of contingent workforce to support various organizational initiatives and events through internal programme and initiatives
• Budget, plan, procure and manage hospital corporate gifts for community and corporate events

Qualifications:

• A degree in Mass Communications or Events Management, or a related field
• At least two years’ experience in communications, community outreach, volunteer management, advocacy, and event planning
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and MS Office, is preferred
• Good organizational and project management skills with attention to details, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Willingness to work on weekends

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform front end engineering design (FEED) and basic design for Electrical system of renewable energy projects, e.g. Solar (Roof top, ground mounted and floating), Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects, Wind projects and mix of Solar, BESS, Wind projects including configuration study.
• Provide technical expertise to develop electrical engineering design deliverables (e.g. SLDs, Layouts, equipment list, load list, datasheets, specifications, electrical protection systems and sizing calculation etc.) for Solar, BESS, Wind, and other projects for Electrical system.
• Review inter-disciplines design/ engineering with consideration for safety, interfacing, quality, performance, reliability, flexibility of operation with optimal project and life cycle cost.
• Support Project-In-charge for over-seeing contractors / vendors for on-site electrical works and accountable for updated and accurate records of all electrical systems
• Conduct engineering activities during business or project development including but not limited to pre-feasibility/ feasibility studies, technical due diligence, electrical layouts, electrical schematics, protection coordination, review of power system studies (short circuit, load flow, earthing, stability etc.)
• Preparation of technical proposal to customer, project / EPC scoping strategy, vendor selection (bid review, technical clarification and bid evaluation), carried out cost estimation, determine LCOE, and all related technical support a etc.
• Stay up to date with advancements in Electrical, Solar, BESS, Wind power technology, Evaluation of new technology and innovative solutions e.g. competitive alternatives to SF6 insulated GIS, etc.
• Participate in engineering activities during project execution including but not limited to preparation of Scope of Work / Design Memorandum / Minimum Functional Specification, tender review on technical proposals and clarifications, attend site queries and site installation issues that related to design, pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning, PSSR etc.
• Attend FAT/SAT and Functional testing to ensure electrical equipment is meeting the design intent & project premise.
• Participate in HAZOP, QRA, EIA, SPD studies. Liaise with LEW for system studies and other regulatory requirements.
• Review and approval of detailed design documents submitted by Contractors and ensure compliance with Engineering Standards, company & industry best practices.
• Establish system and documentation for company engineering standards & specification, ITP, approved vendor/manufacturer list, material specifications, discipline’s schedule of rates and cost estimate template, engineering checklists etc.
• Ensure all activities carried out are in full compliance to all regulatory and authority requirement of Singapore and other SEA countries (Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam etc.) i.e. Energy Market Authority Act, Electricity Act and local Code of Practices during execution of Engineering Design.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• At least 8-15 years of experience in Solar and BESS Electrical design, energy business related engineering management and project management (engineering and construction).
• Well verse of Solar resource assessment, PVsyst software, BESS sizing techniques, software and tools (Homer etc.).
• Experience in other renewable energy projects, especially Wind, CCU is preferred.
• Knowledge of Power system studies software (ETAP etc) is desirable.
• Have a passion and experience in areas related to energy transition and infrastructure
