• Identify and achieve trading opportunities in Asia Pacific, specifically focusing on the Vietnam market, optimising pricing and operating schedules
• Execute the thermal coal trading strategy in Vietnam in collaboration with the global origination & sourcing strategy, including identifying and structuring secondary and paper trading opportunities where possible with an eye on the global risk position
• Promote the sale of book positions on thermal coal into Vietnam, and possibly developing new sales and procurement channels
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, brokers, traders, producers and other key stakeholders in Vietnam and beyond as necessary
• Actively provide market insights for Coal and/or even other commodities
• Coordinate with in-house operations team and external counterparties to ensure trades and deliveries are completed, as necessary monitoring shipments at key points of the supply chain
• Manage and develop buyer/supplier relationships with a willingness to travel to mine / processing sites, ports and warehouses

Education and Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Business, International Trade or other commercial subject

Experience

• Around 3-8 years working experience in a physical trading house ideally in hard commodities. This is an ideal opportunity for an operations / supply chain specialist to develop into the commercial side
• Graduates with relevant commodities experience in Singapore are welcome to apply
• Understanding of coal and its trading products
• Commercially minded, with a sound understanding of risk exposures
• Good knowledge of the supply chain, shipping and operations (logistics, documentation, etc)

Skills

• Ability to speak, read and write Vietnamese at a business level is preferred to communicate with key stakeholders in Vietnam
• Good written and spoken English
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Data management: Organize and manage various data, including the family's financial information and banking records.
• Financial Management: Conduct bookkeeping and accounting tasks, maintain accurate financial records, reconcile bank statements, prepare monthly balance sheets and income statements, and generate timely financial reports.
