The Postdoctoral Associate is in the T7 project for the five-year M3S program in SMART. The project aims to solve diverse use cases, including the stand allocation processes at Singapore Changi Airport and resource allocation on the Grab platform, as a paradigm for a broad set of other potential application contexts.

The problem of scheduling and allocating valuable resources appears in numerous contexts (e.g., transportation, health, public services, logistics) and scales. Many of these contexts share a set of common features. First, decisions regarding scheduling and resource allocation must be made in the face of uncertainty about the amount and timing of demand for these resources. This, in turn, means that plans must be updated dynamically as new information comes in. Moreover, a variety of stakeholders are typically involved and contend for the limited available resources, so that decision-makers must look for compromise solutions that “optimize”, in some way, the use of the resources, while balancing, to the extent possible, the requirements, priorities and social, economic, or demographic characteristics of these stakeholders. Responsibilities

• Conduct user research using user interviews, focus groups, field observations,questionnaires and co-creation workshops
• Develop user stories, personas, scenarios, user journey maps and storyboards to articulate current and future concepts
• Create wireframes, detailed visual mock ups and interactive prototypes to communicate system features and interaction behaviors

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, Balsamiq, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
• Familiar with user experience design work demonstrating user-centric processes and excellent visual design sense
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices .

Administrative & Operations

• Support unit operational and logistics management
• Ensure centre/trainees safety and security
• Update of clients’/trainee’s daily attendance and participation in activities, events and programmes in various client management system platforms
• Engage in caregiver dialogue sessions, home visits and maintain good rapport and communication with parents / caregivers
• Attend staff meeting and training as required

Event Management

Staff will be assigned to oversee at least one of the following duties and will provide assistance to the other staff when required:

• Camp, Festive Celebrations, Sports Events, First Aid & Medicare, Evacuation & Emergency Planning Team, Transport Duties, Staff Welfare and others
• Organise internal/external events and activities for trainees
• Support volunteer engagement events

The role of the Corporate Secretary is integral to the management of meeting minutes, overseeing the entire process from pre-meeting preparation to post-meeting tasks. This includes preparing the agenda, ensuring all necessary documents are available, and accurately recording key points during the meeting. Following the meeting, they draft and circulate the minutes for approval, track action items, and ensure proper storage of the minutes in compliance with legal requirements, thereby maintaining a clear, concise, and reliable official record.

• Provide corporate secretariat support to Board and Management Committees.
• Handle wide spectrum of corporate secretarial work including drafting of meeting minutes, preparation of Board resolutions etc.
• Assist the Legal team with any other corporate secretarial services
