The Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) team leads the company’s engagement with executive branch officials, legislators, regulators and third-parties in the formation of public policy. Working closely with Google leaders, GAPP seeks to identify key policy issues, listen carefully to others’ views and opinions, and distill and share the company’s perspective on those issues with external stakeholders. JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of the team, you'll provide policy expertise on a range of issues related to privacy and security in the region. You will shape Google’s approach to diverse policy topics such as enterprise and consumer cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, international security, data protection, data free flows with trust, and children’s privacy. You deeply understand the APAC political, regulatory, and business context, are comfortable getting into the details on privacy or security, and like to connect dots to form a broader strategic perspective.The Centers of Excellence (COE) organization is the strategic hub within Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), providing issue and functional expertise, ensuring a central global perspective on the policy issues affecting our business, and developing strategies and positions for Google’s regulatory and political engagement. Within COE, the Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS) COE is responsible for this mission in relation to privacy, security, children's safety, government access to data, and the intersection of artificial intelligence with these issues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop strategies and provide issue expertise on security and privacy policy matters across all Google products.

• Partner with cross-functional and local teammates to drive our holistic strategy in the APAC region, engage in regulatory responses, and represent Google publicly across the APAC region.

• Engage with policymakers and issue groups on relevant regulatory, legislative, and policy initiatives, including through in-person engagements primarily in the APAC region.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 10 years of working experience in international affairs, technology policy, or related fields.
• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, privacy, or data policy.
• Experience in policy engagement in multiple countries in the APAC region.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience delivering impact via complex cross-functional and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
• Understanding of APAC national and regional political contexts.

Position Overview

The Test Manager will work across all projects, having responsibility for the management, development and delivery of testing capability into projects that are managed across platforms. The incumbent will prepare and review test cases based on the technical specifications and overall project deliverables. He/she will prepare the overall project test strategy, manage and track all testing activities, as well as providing the project support throughout a software development life cycle project. He/she will also be in charge of ensuring quality testing/quality assurance of project delivery. He/she will be working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following:

• Define, execute and monitor the overall project test strategy. Keeping overall track of the scope of testing by measuring the test progress and evaluating the results
• Ensuring alignment to existing organization processes and project management framework
• Prepare and maintain test specifications and test scripts (test scope, test scenarios, test conditions, test cases, test data and traceability matrix) as per the Functional Specifications and timeline
• Review test specifications, test scripts and test results. Execute test cases, regression tests and confirmation tests according to test plan
• Be the single point of contact (internal and external) for all test related matters and issues
• Execute follow-up test to ensure software defects/issues are resolved
• Manage testing activities i.e. test plan preparation, traceability matrix preparation and update, test cases generation and execution, test results and test report review
• Manage, track and ensure proper closure of defects detected during testing
• Provide regular updates to reporting manager on status of assignments and arising matters
• Update the relevant documentations related to the project/change appropriately
• Implements and enforces new processes and procedures with an ability to simplify testing through automation and innovation
• Ensuring adherence to all relevant policies and procedures as per the project management framework. Demonstrates a good understanding of risk awareness and compliance issues to minimize project, business, operational and reputational risk
• Working with cross functional teams like project team, operations, technology/IT partners and adopting a collaborative approach that supports the project and departments objective

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in computer science or equivalent area of study
• Good understanding of test methodology and experience in a SDLC (software development lifecycle) project implementation process
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in testing, preferably within a banking/financial services environment
• Knowledge and hands-on experience on Project Management, Functional and Non-Functional testing and Defect Management
• Strong oral and written communication skills with all key internal and external stakeholder to ensure test plan, strategy and QA plan is understood and implemented as per plan
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and to handle tight deadlines
• Good team player and positive working attitude
• Self-motivated, self-starter and fast-learner with ability to work independently and within a team

At least 6 years of working experience in IT operations and vendor management

Experienced in and ability to navigate the Public Agency IT/System environment is preferred.

Experience in data analytics systems is preferred.
