The Role

Reporting into the Senior Director, IDL Strategy, Alignment & Planning, this role is responsible for leading strategy and driving alignment across all four Business Units in the IDL Segment, as well as at the IDL Segment leadership level.

The Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (LKYCIC), established in 2012, is a research centre at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. LKYCIC aims to stimulate research on cities and urbanisation, and explore the role of technology, design and policy in providing urban solutions.

Within the Programme on Urban Innovation, we are seeking a full-time Research Assistant to contribute to the study of placekeeping, which involves the long-term management and maintenance of place. With a mixed-methods research approach, we will examine who the key stakeholders are in placekeeping, how they collaborate, and what facilitates or hinders their collaboration. The study aims to establish a methodology and framework that will enable the systematic investigation of placekeeping and inform future policies and practices related to placekeeping in Singapore.

About the Position:

This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about placemaking, placekeeping, and community engagement in urban planning and design and is looking to gain experience for a future career in research.

You will:

• Work closely with the Principal Investigator and research team to craft data collection tools, including survey and interview questionnaire

• Program Management – Manage multiple, concurrent global, regional, local technology programs and projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, meeting business expectations and quality standards. Ensure issues and risks are raised and managed in a timely manner. Ensure Chubb project management standards are observed.
• Systems development - Manage development of multiple solutions and systems, adhering to Chubb’s architectural standards and system development frameworks (agile and waterfall).
• Service and Risk management - Manage and report on service levels for multiple global, regional and local systems. Manage related ITIL processes (e.g. incident, problem, change management), Information Security processes (e.g. vulnerability management), and Risk Management processes (e.g. currency).
• Team Leadership - As a key member of the APAC Technology Leadership team, lead and motivate diverse, distributed Chubb and partner teams. Own the talent agenda (acquisition, retention) for the Claims technology function.

Experience required:

• 10-15 years of experience in developing and running enterprise systems, and/or managing related projects in complex, multi-geography, multi-business line environments
• 5-10 years of experience in managing a Technology function and team, in a regulated industry, ideally Financial Services
• Experience in Claims transformation would be ideal
• Experience with standard Project Management frameworks (e.g. PMP), and waterfall and agile system development methods and tools
• Experience with implementing and operating within ITIL aligned service management frameworks
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Strong people leadership skills
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills

We are looking for Application Governance Manager (Global Markets Technology) on a 12-month extendable contract role to start with.

About the team:

High performing application governance team working to govern and manage the front-to-back solutions provided by vendor and in-house applications for Global Markets business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• In a typical day, you will check whether the controls are in place in applications by understanding the application setup and performing an integrity gap analysis to ensure we remain in compliance with bank information security standards and Enterprise Governance standards.
• You will partner with different lines of business, development teams, information security and infrastructure operations teams to deliver projects including business enablement, regulatory, risk and efficiency initiatives.
• At times you will engage external parties like Vendors, Compliance, Regulatory bodies and Exchanges.
• Application Governance – You would spend 70% of the time in managing the application governance activities involving assessing the application information security risks, audits, non-permitted technologies.
• Applications – Work with onshore and offshore regional teams to ensure the required deliverables are completed on time.
• Audit & Risk– Ensure first-line risk management and controls are in place to support the applications and build risk awareness within the team.
• Communication - Communicate with the users for the immediate/short/long term solutions.
• Engage multiple stakeholders across the organization to gather and understand the functional requirements, security risks for the applications and provide a cohesive and logical solutions to problems in the existing applications.

Requirement and Skills:

• You have good understanding of wide range of technologies including network, security, application architecture, database and operating systems.
• You have strong technical background and are familiar with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• You can multi-task & work independently under tight timelines & challenging environment with minimal supervision.
• You are a good communicator to your team, management, and business stakeholders.
