Conduct Customer In Services, in house training

Responsibilities:

1. Fabrication and Design:Oversee and manage 3D printing operations, including Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Stereolithography (SLA), Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), and other emerging technologies.
   Provide expert guidance on general fabrication processes involving diverse materials such as wood, metal, fabrics, and electronics.
   Develop and implement standard operating procedures for equipment and safety protocols.
   
2. Educational Support:Conduct workshops and training sessions for students and staff on fabrication techniques and machinery use.
   Mentor and supervise students and junior technicians in their projects, ensuring high standards of work and safety.
   
3. Innovation and Research:Lead development initiatives to explore new fabrication techniques and materials.
   Collaborate with academic staff and students on projects and research, offering technical expertise and guidance.
   Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in fabrication technology, integrating new ideas and practices into lab operations.
   
4. Equipment Maintenance and Safety:Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
   Conduct regular safety audits and update safety documentation as needed.
   Manage the procurement of new equipment and supplies, including budgeting and vendor relations.
   
5. Innovation and Research:Lead research and development initiatives to explore new fabrication techniques and materials.
   Collaborate with academic staff and students on projects and research, offering technical expertise and guidance.
   Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in fabrication technology, integrating new ideas and practices into lab operations.
   
6. Participation in STEAM Outreach:Actively participate in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) outreach programs.
   Build partnerships with educational institutions, industry, and community organizations to promote STEAM education.
   
7. Support in Digital Transformation:Aid in implementing digital transformation initiatives within the lab.
   Utilize basic data analytics to assist in optimizing lab processes and equipment usage.
   

Requirements:

1. Educational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Design, Architecture, or a related field.
   
2. Experience:At least 3 years of experience in a fabrication lab, workshop, or similar environment is preferred.
   Proven expertise in 3D printing technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
   
3. Technical Skills:Good knowledge of digital fabrication tools and software, including CAD.
   Understanding of AR/VR technologies and data analytics is a plus.
   
4. Passion for Making and Education:A passionate maker with a keen interest in teaching students how to make and innovate.
   Enthusiasm for engaging with students and fostering a creative and collaborative learning environment.
