Primary Objectives of Position

• Manage the overall supervision of maintenance activities in depot and workshop

One postdoc position is available at the Surface and Interface Lab in Prof. CHEN WEI’s group, National University of Singapore. The successful candidate will work with Prof CHEN Wei on NAP-XPS investigation for interface engineered 2D materials under a project on NRF Investigatorship project "Interface Engineered Ferroelectric 2D Materials for Artificial Synapses and Neuromorphic Computing”.

The project focuses on the interface engineering for 2D materials for various applications, including neuromorphic computing and electrocatalysis, with particular emphasis on NAP-XPS technique. The selected candidate will work together with a team comprising experts in interfacial analysis about 2D materials and reaction mechanism study using home-made interface characterization tools.

Qualifications / Discipline:

• PhD in Chemistry or Materials in a research intensive and renowned University or Research Institute. The candidate shall publish at a few papers on top journals.
• Skills:
  Excellent English writing and communication skill, team management skill (help PI to lead a small research team with 1-2 master students), expert in 2D materials and NAP-XPS, structural characterizations using TEM/SEM/AFM/XRD, surface science techniques of XPS/UPS.
