Ideal candidate:

• Minimum 8 years of backend development experience.
• Strong Java Backend Development in Java 11-21, ORM Frameworks (MyBatis, Spring-Data-JPA), MAVEN, Spring Framework, REST APIs, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Serena, Ansible), and testing utilities (Mockito, Jmeter, Postman, etc.).
• Experience with database: Oracle SQL and Postgres SQL
• Experience with Cloud: IBM Cloud, AWS, Google, Alibaba, Azure…
• Experience with Middleware, Apache Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka is a plus

Your Role:

• Produce in-depth companies’ ESG qualitative analyses (multi-sector/region) & detailed reports based on data available through in-house databases and through company’s own disclosure.
• Review the positioning of companies in the sustainable regulatory framework with a bottom-up perspective. In particular, assess companies on “Do No Significant Harm” and “Minimum Safeguards” principles.
• Leverage on sustainability expertise to support stewardship team to engage companies on industry-specific challenges.
• Contribute to various research projects to improve our corporate and sovereign proprietary rating & reporting systems.
• Interact regularly with financial teams to provide extensive advice on ESG & sustainability issues.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in sustainability-related fields, economics or finance.
• Excellent research and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to break down complex concepts.
• Excellent understanding of industry-specific sustainability challenges and global trends
• Excellent understanding of sustainability landscape and data in the financial industry (ESG information, impact & risk metrics, SDGs, etc.).
• Previous experience in ESG research, corporate sustainability management or company engagement is a must.
• Capabilities in data management, processing and reporting (coding experience would be a plus).
