Singapore Chemical Industry Council Limited

Standards Development Organisation

In 2011, SPRING Singapore (now known as Enterprise Singapore) appointed SCIC as the Standards Development Organisation (SDO@SCIC).

The key functions of the SDO@SCIC are to coordinate standards development projects, encourage greater industry participation and promote adoption of standards in the chemical and related industries. The SDO@SCIC also aims to raise awareness of the benefits of standards among industries.

Standards Development Committees

The Chemical Standards Committee (CSC) spearheads the development and implementation of chemical standards to support the chemical cluster and its supporting industries and maintain Singapore’s position as a world-class chemical hub. The key focus areas of CSC include chemicals and processes, bunkering, nanotechnology, paints as well as petroleum processes.

The Environment Resources Standards Committee (ERSC) spearheads the development and adoption of standards to address sustainable development and promote the growth of the cleantech sector. The key focus of ERSC is to develop, promote and support the implementation of standards for environmental management, circularity of materials, water management, sustainable energy.

Responsibilities:

· Manage the Standards Development Committees and its Working groups in addressing various standardisation issues for the chemical and related industries. This includes scheduling of meetings, writing meeting minutes, managing partners such as industry practitioners, government regulators, other stakeholders etc. and following up on various initiatives and work plans put forth by the committees.

· Manage the organisation of events such as standards industry awareness events, standards seminars, standards workshops etc.

· Manage standards project timeline and prepare reports and proposals related to standards development

· To support SCIC activities when required

The Reliability Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify failure modes, and implement proactive maintenance practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Conducting Reliability Analysis: Perform data analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis to identify potential failures, their impact, and underlying causes.

A. Overall Purpose Of The Job

The Procurement Executive is responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and oversea vendors. Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required by our clients. The primary function of the role is to ensure internal and external client satisfaction throughout the entire end-to-end order process. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation.

B. Key Responsibilities

· Processing purchase orders – i.e. raising purchase orders, dealing with suppliers and following up order confirmation, follow up on deliveries with suppliers and updating delivery date information in ERP system.

· Resolve issues and queries with products liaising with goods receipt-in, inventory, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly with internal team members and 3PL partners.

· Coordinate delivery documentation – e.g. Commercial Invoice and Packing List where required in coordination with suppliers and CSE Team (for Drop-Shipments), freight forwarders and/or 3PL partners.
