DFS Controllership is building our team of accounting professionals towards our NextGen Finance vision. The candidate will have the opportunity to be part of the Global Controller Business Partner (CBP) team, leveraging new technologies, Process Reengineering, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Data Analytics to create value for the individual and the Company. As a member of the CBP team, the candidate will work closely with our global stakeholders to address accounting queries, ensure timely and accurate reporting and contribute to business improvement initiatives.

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join us a 9-month contract role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of month-end close, hard-close, fast close and year-end close processes of designated business divisions.
• Prepare/review and analyze monthly management and financial reports
• Prepare/review internal and external schedules/reports as required.
• Review and provide direction to staff with regards to account reconciliation and sub-ledgers to general ledger and other balance sheet reconciliations such as banks/inventory, etc. for completeness and accuracy and follow up on action items.
• Identify areas with exposure to risk/potential risk in the designated business divisions. Suggest solutions to mitigate the risks.
• Ensure that working papers, schedules, correspondences, and other documentation meet quality assurance tests and are in line with DFS best practices.
• Provide support and respond to queries from divisions on a timely basis. Where necessary, co-ordinate and work with other departments/functions to accomplish objectives.
• Ensure accounting treatment of standard or special processes comply with DFS accounting policies and internal control procedures.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors as well as other outside parties as required.
• Work closing with Consolidation and Group Reporting, Corporate and Divisions FP&A for changes to management reports arising from accounting changes, new businesses, etc.
• Keep abreast of on-going accounting and reporting changes in IFRS and local reporting standards.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• 3-5 years of experience, preferably with some commercial experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• General Ledger and consolidation experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in software packages and flexibility to learn new tools like SAP ERP, SAP Business, Planning & Consolidation, Excel, Word, Blackline, Concur and Coupa
• Good interpersonal skills with ability to work well independently and across all levels of the organization

As a Gas Chromatography lab application engineer, you would be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing gas chromatography systems. Your work would involve ensuring the proper functioning of gas chromatography instruments, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support.

Responsibilities:

• To provide active support to gas chromatography tuning, preparation of GC operation data and report.
• Gas chromatography tuning involves columns installation, operation data collection, and handling of gas and liquid cylinders.
• Ability to troubleshoot gas chromatography issues.
• Support the manager to ensure the quality of the GC produced and to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the lab.
• Support the department on the daily operation activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/ Chemical Process, or any related module is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years and above of working experience on column selection, calibration, and troubleshooting in a GC Lab.
• Good working knowledge in the Gas Chromatography concept.

Requirements:

The senior compliance risk analyst for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM)’s Surveillance team is responsible for the oversight for surveillance services designed to detect behaviors that may violate regulatory rules or internal policies and procedures. Additionally, this role is responsible for the design and implementation of new or enhanced surveillances.
