The postdoctoral fellow will work closely with Asst. Prof. Patrick Rebentrost in the intersection of quantum algorithms and optimization, machine learning and/or finance. Sample topics include quantum algorithms for problems in supervised and unsupervised machine learning, algorithmic learning theory, and online learning, and quantum algorithms for financial problems such as portfolio optimization, pricing of financial derivatives, and hedging. The job will include the development of quantum algorithms in these areas, with provable quantum advantages and provable guarantees, when possible, in fault-tolerant models of quantum computation. The job will also include the development of algorithms that are easier to execute on available hardware such as variational and post-variational methods and quantum approximate optimization. This project will focus on the multi-agent search problem, where multiple autonomous robots (agents) are tasked with spreading over a given region to be explored, to locate given targets of interest trying to evade detection. The number of targets is unknown, and their initial position is not known as well. There might be obstacles in the domain, and their location might or might not be known. Throughout this work, we will assume that robots can communicate their observations (presence/absence of targets) during search, via local or global communications, so they can update their representation of the domain and likely location(s) of targets (more details about this representation in the next Section). What are we looking for?

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Role: The Video Editor is responsible for managing the video editing team and creating the final cut by assembling the raw recorded materials and other files.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with other production teams to understand requirements and communicate the intended creative vision for production.
• Digitally cut all the files and puts them in a narrative sequence that follows that script and screenplay - refining the edited footages based on inputs from the creative leadership teams and to do all final checks of the video formats and backups to ensure all videos are saved.
