Workplace safety and Health Coordinator (WSHC)

- Inspect the construction site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard;

- Point out and discuss environmental health irregularities such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestation, noise/ dust/ smoke/water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, poor refuse management, poor maintenance of sanitary facilities, etc. with the occupier of the construction site and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities;

- Attend to all feedback on such irregularities and inform the occupier of the construction site accordingly;

- Report and submit a Site Environmental Control Report to the occupier of the construction site once every monthly

- Assist the authorities to investigate outbreaks of infectious, vector borne or food-borne diseases on the construction site;

- Organize campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards in the construction site.

- The Environmental Control Officer (ECO) is responsible for introducing Environmental Awareness to all Workers / Staff at Site.

- The role of an ECO is to advise the occupier of the construction site on what needs to be done.

- The ECO shall look out for conditions/ situations in construction site which causes environmental health problems or are likely to cause environmental health problems. He should report these conditions/ situations to the occupier of the construction site together with recommendations on remedial measures to be taken to prevent recurrence. • Responsible for daily deliveries to designated customer areas.
• Timely and efficient delivery within specified timeframes.
• Primary duty is to deliver documents/Parcel, and if necessary, collect payments from customers.

- In charge of M&E site works and assist M&E Manager, PM and PD.

- Planning, coordination and ordering of M&E’s equipment, materials and manpower into site with the incorporation of builder’s works.

- Planning weekly & monthly work schedule, controlling and monitoring on M&E site work and reporting to Higher Management.

- Supervise and liaise with internal team, subcontractors and other parties for settling technical issues to ensure a smooth workflow.

- Ensure M&E subcontractors follow the builder’s schedule and approved drawings & specifications.

- Identify clash between M&E work and other parties, specify alternative design and construction methods as needed.

- Conduct M&E coordination meeting & site walk with subcontractors, consultants and client.

- Oversee inspections of all M&E installations and finishing, and arrange inspection for RTOs, RE and client.

- Check and verify the monthly progress payment, variation orders raised by M&E contractors before submit to QS and PM.

- Liaise with client, consultants, structure & architectural team and subcontractors.

- Works on drafting shop-drawing if necessary

- In-charge of M&E related authority submission and submission of M&E RI to acquire TOP certificate.

7. Reporting and Communication: Prepare non-technical reports, conduct meetings with subordinates, and represent the department/laboratory in interactions with other departments.
8. Training and Development: Ensure all personnel are properly trained as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide guidance on hiring, training, promotions, and disciplinary issues for non-technical personnel.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in operations management and customer services strategies preferably in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage team members.
• Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to leverage insights to drive informed decision-making.

• Maintains and adheres to filing systems, keeps and updates drawings and registers. them in both soft and hard copies

• Preparation and submission of shop drawings.
• Ensure correct & accurate drawing details before submission.
• Diagrams update as and when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum Engineering Diploma/Degree in Architectural, or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of similar experience in building projects for main contractor firms
• Proficient in MS Office, Auto CAD, 3D max studio, sketch up, Revit
• Familiarity with construction environment will be an advantage.
• Able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Be independent, self-motivated, able to work under pressure and deliver timely
• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
• Good planning skills in managing modelling and drafting works.
• Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
