Position Overview

The Risk Governance & Solutions (RGS) team is responsible for Interface Analytics publications, operational solutions, analysis and execution of risk mitigation plans and oversee the rollout of strategic initiatives. Asst. Prof. Chan seeks a highly motivated individual to join his laboratory on Mammalian Development and Tissue Hydraulics as a postdoctoral fellow at the Mechanobiology Institute in the National University of Singapore. This position is offered under a highly interdisciplinary project that aims to understand macrophage-environment mechanochemical crosstalk during ovarian ageing.

Project Scope

The candidate will investigate the mechanobiological principles by which cell mechanics, ECM remodelling and inflammation drive fibrosis during ovarian ageing. The selected candidate will combine an ex vivo approach with advanced imaging, omics and biophysics to explore how tissue-resident macrophages respond to age-associated changes in matrix stiffness and composition, and how this in turn drives macrophage-mediated fibrosis.
