Assistant Professor (tenure track) Positions in Climate Science
The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore seeks to appoint one Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Climate Science. We broadly welcome applications across all areas of tropical climate research. This can include, but is not limited to, atmospheric observation, tropical urban climate, and regional to global scale climate modelling.

ASE (https://www.ntu.edu.sg/ase) is a diverse, interdisciplinary school that integrates geoscience, ecology, and social science in order to examine environmental challenges in Asia and globally. ASE collaborates closely with the Earth Observatory of Singapore, and with the other schools and colleges in NTU. ASE has state-of-the-art teaching facilities and research laboratories, including environmental geochemistry laboratory, sediment and ecology laboratory, general-purpose laboratories, and high computation resources. Beyond NTU, ASE researchers can access facilities at the Singapore National Supercomputing Centre.

Past research experience in tropical climate dynamics is advantageous, but not essential.

The successful candidate will be encouraged to collaborate with existing research groups across NTU, Singapore, and Southeast Asia.

The successful candidate will also teach within ASE at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Overview:

We seek a dynamic and organised individual to join our team as a Livestream Account Manager, whose responsibilities include developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients and connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. Account Managers liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure our solutions are delivered promptly and successfully according to customer needs. Manage and develop client accounts to initiate and maintain favourable relationships with clients. Responsible for coordinating with influencers, live streamers, our partners, and the agencies we're working with and is an expert in affiliate marketing (selling our channels and products) of both HOUZE & Table Matters Brands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Introduce and demonstrate products and respond to customer enquiries by providing professional advice during live streaming.
• Develop and implement a live streaming strategy, including scheduling, planning, marketing, and enhancing production workflow.
• Ensures live streamer is engaging the customers online
• Manages Facebook, Tiktok, Lazada, & Shopee Livestream accounts. Responsible for creating live stream campaigns on social media and e-commerce platforms (Tiktok, Facebook, Lazada, Shopee, etc) for two brands: HOUZE & Table Matters
• Coordinates with influencers, live streamers, our partners, the agencies we're working with, and finding excellent influencers creators.
• Develop new live-stream sales strategies & campaigns
• Execute live-stream promotional campaigns to achieve sales targets as assigned by the Management.
• Constantly research and keep abreast of the latest marketing trends, emerging technologies and digital tools to produce high-quality content.
• Track and monitor live stream performance and submit reports to Management.
• Monitor analytics of online shopping via TikTok, Facebook, Lazada, and Shopee accounts
• Work with affiliate partners
• Achieve sales conversion rate from the live stream as determined by Management
• To undertake any ad-hoc tasks as and when required.

Job Description

Requirements

• Possess a degree in Information Technology or related fields.
• Must be a Certified Scrum Master.
• At least 5 years of work experience in the following area, being familiar with various software development practices (Eg: Agile software development methodologies). - REST API with security development life cycles skills - JAVA (framework: Spring boot), Nodejs, React, JQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5, Kubernetes, dockers etc. - Database technical knowledge in the areas of general SQL (Oracle DB) - User Interface design
• Experience in noSQL databases, eg Cassandra
• Experience in OpenShift framework
• Experience in cloud computing platform – AWS, MS Azure
• Familiar with API gateway, Caching, Blockchain
• Should have quick learning ability and adapt to new technologies

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing full set of accounts for the company’s subsidiary & related party.
• Responsible for netting payments / intercompany reconciliation with other Rhenus entities
• Responsible for monitoring and managing accounts receivables, payables, cash pool, loans and enhancing effective credit control strategies.
• Involve in external audit and tax.
• Any other assigned duties by management

Requirements:

• As a member of this team, you know the basic accounting principles and the processes end to end with solid accounting background where you fully understood all your Debit & Credit entries
• Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels in the organization.
• Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle partial of monthly accounts.
• Assist in Quarterly GST reporting and reconciliation
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments for local and overseas.
• Review and verify invoices before payment.
• Ensure accounts payable invoice and expenses claims are accurate, properly taken in, monitor prepayment and charge out according.
• Completeness of balance sheet schedules every month include reconciliation of payments, monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
• Resolve invoice’s discrepancies issues and reconciliation report.
• Prepare journal voucher, ensure timely closing of AP.
• Liaise with different business unit for payment purpose.
• Prepare audit schedule and providing accurate and timely tax (GST)/ financial reports to relevant authorities.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required and/or assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Business and/or Accounting, LCCI qualification or relevant discipline
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience.
• Knowledge and experienced in baisc accounting software
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, especially in MS Word and Excel.
• Willingness to be flexible and dedicated to meeting reporting deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team environment.

The successful candidate will be a Scrum Master handling applications, products and initiatives pertaining to Passenger Servicing and Day of Travel Systems.
