Scope of Position: 
Providing most suitable solutions to customers by understanding their requirements and strategically selecting service providers while maximizing profitability. This position will involve activities relating to procurement, service provider management and sales/ business development.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:  

Operations

• Understand export processes in order to accurately identify requested scope of pricing and accurate pricing
• Understand and comply to company policies and accordance with government regulations.
• Timely responses to emails (within 24 hours) and voicemails (within 1 hour) (internal and external)
• Timely responds on day-to-day pricing enquiries and RFQs from external and internal customers
• Screening of MK denial parties before quoting
• Monitor and apply appropriate carrier contract per customer to maximize the shipment profitability
• Carrier allocation management per carrier against the weekly allocation report to ensure customer service uses the correct carriers and maximizing the profitability
• Assisting booking management – placing bookings with carrier, secure confirmation, verify cost from carriers against contract
• Rate filing management

• Be alert of market situation and provide timely update of market changes of different trades

Service Provider Management

• Able to negotiate and obtain competitive rates and service route from carriers and co-loaders
• Procure strategically in the market to cater with customer’s needs and requirements
• Build good business rapport/relationship with carrier, co-loaders, and service providers
• Organize, gather feedbacks, and lead quarterly service provider performance review

Business Development

• Contribute to business development per assignment basis
• Interact with our customers virtual or in person to understand their requirements and offer solutions at competitive pricing, meeting customer service expectations

The Banking Specialist provides operational support to Sales & Trading teams on the processing, settlement and confirmation of OTC Derivatives transactions within agreed ASAPs and Client policies and procedures. The Asset classes include Equities, Interest Rates, Credit, Commodities and FX.

Your key tasks

• Timely and accurate validation and processing of OTC Equity and FX derivative products (Accumulators, Decumulators, Swaps, Dual Currency Investment, Structured Investment, FX related products).
• Matching trade details on dealing blotter, counterparty term-sheet / advice and verification of trades in trade capture system. 
• Following-up with relevant parties to resolve any trade exceptions / discrepancies.

• Review and monitoring customer receivables aging
• Prepare trade-related expenses accrual, A&P expenses accrual, provision doubtful debts and other AR-related journal entries
• Accurate and timely Processing of customer claims and payments
• Provides insight to customer payment behavior and credit risks
• Maintaining accurate and up to date accrued expenses and AR records
• Collaborating with sales teams to resolve customer billing and collection issues
• Performing accounts reconciliation
• Ensuring accounting and other AR related processes are compliant with accounting standards & company policies
• Identify and mitigate credit risks
• Check and reconcile customer statement of accounts, follow up on unreconciled items

• Lead the F&B team to personalize the guest dining experience and ensure the compliance of LQA standards and delivery of Service Promise
• Lead a Heartist® approach to guest experience/service with the F&B team
• Provide immediate attention to guest complaints and provide appropriate service recovery.  To follow up and to establish correct procedures to prevent future recurrence
• Work closely with the culinary team to maintain food quality and to create attractive food products that support the image of the outlet/hotel and incremental business volume
• Regular review of guest comments/VOG with the team and implement right solutions for continuous improvement
• Focus on the dining experience for LCAH members

ACCOMPLISH Cost Containment and Profit Enhancement

• Implement, monitor, train and maintain control measures to impact food costs, beverage costs, labour costs and operating supply costs for the outlet and to be in line of budget

• Plan, implement and measure profit enhancement programmes constantly in the areas of  menu engineering, profit contribution, revenue generation, productivity, pricing and costing for products used in the outlet
• Interpret financial reports: create and implement plans or promotion to improve  profits for the outlet
• Compile financial data and use the data to coach the service team how to use suggestive selling to improve the overall financial performance

MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP OF THE F&B TEAM

• Provide necessary training and guidance to F&B team and to ensure that the highest possible standards and quality of products and services offering in the premise
• Recruit, develop and retain F&B team who are competent and confident to exceed guest expectations and create successful business
• Support the F&B team to be consistent in service, use a collaborative, enabling leadership style, have regular team meeting
• Drive consistent service and process improvement, be entrepreneurial

Main Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly passionate and driven HR professional to join our pre-opening team for the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree.

This will be an excellent opportunity to be part of the pioneering team that will shape the culture and set the standards for Human Capital practices for the new Resort. The incumbent will deepen and advance their HR career by being involved in the formulation and setting up of the HR department and HR policies for the new Resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the HR Director to oversee all human resource functions during the pre-opening phase. This includes recruitment, onboarding, policy development, and ensuring compliance with labor regulations. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the hospitality industry, preferably pre-openings, and will play a critical role in building a high-performing team that aligns with our brand values and operational standards.
• Recruitment and Manpower Planning - Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract top talent for the Resort. In performing this role, the HR Manager will engage with various stakeholders, including community leaders, agencies etc. to broaden our reach and share our opportunities will all segments of the community. The role will also encompass establishing onboarding protocols and orientation to help strengthen and instill the Resort’s values will all new team members.
• Policy Development – Establish all HR policies, ranging from recruitment, performance management, benefits, etc, and importantly, to ensure that they comply with all statutory regulations. The HR Manager will also be responsible for developing communication strategies to ensure all team members are aware of the Resort’s policies and procedures.
• Culture and Employee Relations – Foster a culture that encapsulates the Resort’s Values and Ethos. Job Requirements
