The R&D Packaging Engineer will be a part of the newly formed Sustainability Center of Excellence (COE) located in BD Singapore. The Sustainability COE is modeled after the Sustainable Medical Technology Institute (SMTI) and will have the same mandate as the SMTI. In this role, the Packaging Engineer will be responsible for execution of the broader R&D Sustainability strategy at BD. This individual will help integrate sustainability focus into programs for making changes to current products and to new product development programs in all 8 BD businesses. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Technical Supervisor to manage day to day operations related to vessel repairs

· Board vessels to lead miscellaneous repairs related to hull, pipes, hydraulics and mechanical repairs.

· Prepare quotations based on customer requirements and must have indepth knowledge on vessel repair scopes.

· Co ordinate between clients and various operations teams for jobs for arrangements and executing repair jobs.

· Sound knowledge on welding related to pipes and plate drawings.

· Able to travel at short notice to shipyards to co ordinate and lead critical projects and onboard vessels.

· Able to stay onboard vessels for a longer period while managing critical projects.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Main Requirements:

· A strong background in mechanical, hydraulic, and structural engineering, particularly in the maritime industry, is essential

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with a commitment to delivering results and driving continuous improvement

· Prior experience in managing and executing vessel repair projects is crucial. This includes a deep understanding of various repair techniques and procedures related to hulls, pipes, hydraulics, and mechanical systems

· Experience in Welding and Machining processes

· Have experience OR understand the procedures for welding jobs for structural works as per the standards, Step by step inspection welding jobs

· Familiarized in BWTS pipe installation on board vessels

  • Assist with the preparation of funeral documentation, legal paperwork, and ensuring all processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Learn to manage financial aspects of services, including invoicing, payments, and record-keeping.
• Aftercare Services:
  • Learn how to provide compassionate aftercare services to grieving families, including managing grief workshops, holding group memorial services, and follow-up communication.
