Job Description

• Oversee and support finance processes for the Division’s foreign operations.
• Perform financial analyses and coordinate valuation exercises.
• Evaluate projects and support projects on areas including financial due diligence, tax structuring, contract reviews, funding plans and financial impact assessments.
• Review of the Division’s financials and preparation of periodic financial reporting material for senior management.
• Support budgeting, offsite and strategy planning exercises.
• Assists on accounting matters and year-end preparation of financial statements.
• Liaise with external parties including finance advisors, appraisals, auditors, consultants and legal counsels.
• Perform similar financial duties in other ad-hoc projects or assignments.

Job Requirements

Required Competencies

• Good Degree in Finance or Accounting, ACCA or equivalent and preferably Singapore CA.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience, preferably with big four audit experience. Commercial, investment deals and/or group consolidation experience will be an advantage.
• Ability to analyse data, prepare financial models, assess risks and present findings.
• Strong knowledge of using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint and data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI).
• Good team player with strong communication skills to work well with different functions and levels.
• Self-motivated, meticulous, well organised and attention to detail.
• Supervision and leadership skills.

JOB OVERVIEW

• Key liaison with internal IT support and end-to-end issue resolution process which can arise from technical, data or process gap for IFRS 17 in UAT and Production testing environment
• Working with the team and cross functional departments on identifying and ensuring data sources are ready for catch-up runs, and supporting the testing of future processes to meet those disclosure, especially for historical comparative figures
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise on the new accounting standard IFRS 17
• Provide support in IFRS17 related audit matters
• Assisting in data reconciliation for opening balances and month on month actual data cash flow completeness
• Assist in financial year-end financial statements IFRS 17 disclosure requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 to 2 years’ experience in finance reporting in insurance industry or external audit experience
• Accounting degree preferred
• Meticulous fast learner
