Job Description

Job Description:

To perform preventive and corrective maintenance works on equipment, and standby

duties as required so that the equipment can function properly and operate safely.

Requirements:

1. Carry out preventive maintenance works in accordance to the schedule.

2. Carry out corrective maintenance works as when required.

3. Observe safety work procedures.

4. Ensure that tools provided are properly kept and used.

Responsibilities:

• • To prepare and submit necessary documents to the main contractor.
• • Ensure all documentation, permits, and licenses related to workplace safety, health, and environmental control required by authorities and management are kept in order.
• • Conduct site safety inspections and enforce compliance with prevailing MOM Safety Acts and Regulations.
• • Promote a strong workplace safety and security culture at construction projects.
• • Ability to handle multiple projects.
• • Able to conduct effective toolbox meetings, attend safety meetings and site walk with the Main Contractor.
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures.
• • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and investigations to identify potential hazards and risks, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
• • Train employees on safety policies and procedures, including hazard identification and risk management.
• • Ensure all workers at the site are always equipped and wear appropriate PPE.
• • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• • Act as safety assessors in assessing and inspecting work areas for high-risk construction work activities. Commencement of work under the Permit-To-Work system and as per requirements from WSH (Construction) Regulations for safety assessors.
• • Make recommendations to trade supervisors/Permit-To-Work applicants to rectify or improve before the commencement of work activities.
• • Support projects, overseeing daily construction activities while ensuring the completion, safety, and quality of all project follow-up actions.

Requirements:

• Possess a Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH).
• Good knowledge of ISO and OSHA safety standards.
