About the role

The People Analytics Team (PAN) covers the unique convergence of analytical reasoning, deep technical skills and soft sciences of human behaviour and organisational psychology. We are interested in the application of analytical methods to improve the quality of decision-making in Grab. We cover organisational and people subjects including recruitment, engagement, culture, performance, growth, and departures.

This is an onsite role. As a People Analytics Intern,

• You will learn about real-world applications of social psychology, organisational development and behavioural science. Understand different HR functions across Grab, what we do and how data and analytics can improve impact.
• You will learn technical skills: Hands-on exposure to Python, SQL, data visualisation, programming, and - if you're up for it - web applications and chatbots!
• You will learn soft skills: Communication, storytelling, project management, working with team members.
• This is a paid internship. Interns are eligible for course credits. Open for full time or part time from Jan to May 2025.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will wrangle with large datasets to transform raw data into useful outputs.
• You will perform analyses to translate data into meaningful people and organisational insights.
• You will build data visualisations for data storytelling and messaging.

This internship will involve tasks overlapping both Asia Pacific Local Market and Travel Retail.

Opportunities & Exposure

1. Launch Preparation & Strategy

• Coordinate with the Marketing Managers and help prepare launch marketing presentations, booklets, assortment analysis and product orders.
• Identify and adapt the international launch packages to APAC (retail-tainment ideas, local productions, translations, visuals etc.).
• Help to prepare 360 launch platforms sent out 2 months prior to launch.

1. Business & Competition Analysis

• Carry out post-launch reports and ad-hoc business analysis with recommendations.
• Keep competitors’ initiatives under scrutiny and provide follow-up on competitors’ launches and interesting innovations to ensure the Marketing team members have the latest market information

1. Marketing Operations & Administrative

• Reporting: Weekly newsletters to send out to all regions, weekly & monthly newsletters to HQ
• Preparation of launch collaterals (including items like video loops & translations)
• Logistics (including but not exhaustive): Dispatch of HQ and local produced collaterals, product samples to different markets
