As a Compliance Relationship Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the portfolio of 200–250 clients adheres to government regulations and ethical standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Act as a director of each Client as instructed by the relevant Service Provider and discharge the same duties as that of a regular/executive director as per the Companies Act, including but not limited to duties to act honestly and in good faith, to avoid conflict of interest, to exercise care, skill and diligence and to not misuse powers and information on behalf of any Client.
• Use your best efforts to comply and act in accordance with your legal obligations and duties as a nominee director at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in English-to-Japanese translation, product UI localization, linguistic reviews and translation quality management is required for monitoring the Japanese translation quality for our family of apps and long-form content, and making appropriate decisions for necessary changes to improve it
• Japanese language is required to communicate efficiently with our translation vendor teams, cross-functional teams, and occasionally, with our end-users in Japanese
• Experience in creating and/or maintaining linguistic assets for Japanese translation (e.g. terminology, style guides etc.) is required for being able to guide our translation vendor teams and reviewers in ensuring consistency, accuracy and appropriateness of Japanese translation on the Meta family of apps
• Knowledge of Japanese culture, society and current trends is required to ensure that the tone and style of our Japanese translation is appropriate for millions of our end-users
• Familiarity with CAT tools is required in order to perform the day-to-day work of translation and linguistic reviews

Department of Geography: Manager / Assistant Senior Manager (Geographic Information Systems)

The Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is inviting applications for a Manager / Assistant Senior Manager in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide support to the GIS Unit and its GIS educational programmes. The GIS Unit spearheads the research, training and applications of GIS in the Department and aims to extend beyond the academic realm to foster an Asia-focused GIS ecosystem with global reach. The Department is the leading centre in Singapore for GIS research and teaching, hosting comprehensive geospatial and other laboratory facilities. It currently runs three GIS educational programmes based upon a diverse range of courses; the MSc in Applied GIS and Graduate Certificate in Applied GIS at graduate level and the GIS Minor at undergraduate level. Plans are underway to complement the three existing programmes with a Graduate Diploma in Applied GIS (thereby creating a fully-stackable MSc degree in Applied GIS) and a Professional Certificate in Applied GIS.

The position is for two years in the first instance with the possibility of extension subject to performance.

The person appointed will be expected to cover the following duties and responsibilities:

1. Administrative & admission coordinator for the GIS programmes
• Review and process applications from prospective students.
• Coordinating students’ theses & projects-related activities/tasks for the MSc programme.
• Support new course development and new elective course identification.

2. GIS Outreach
• Develop and offer training programmes in collaboration with faculty members within the Department and across NUS to facilitate GIS outreach to working professionals and the public.

3. GIS Lab management
• Run the day-to-day operations of the GIS lab.
• Purchase and manage GIS & remote sensing software licenses used in the Department.

4. Technical and knowledge support in GIS
