About the Role:
This role of Head Finance would require partnering with Site Management to maximize value, manage business risks and costs, drive the planning processes, and keep highest standards of Financial Compliance. Enable close collaboration with the Finance teams in the Operations Centers in Slovenia and Hyderabad and the ones of the Technology Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
· Controlling
o Ensures the following activities are timely and appropriately completed:
o Budget/LO/LF/Spotlanding preparation
o Implementation of activities to achieve budget / LF / LO challenges
o Assessment of M&A / BD&L business cases
o COGS Roadmap preparation
o Preparation of Capex / NoPro budgets
o Product Costing runs and reconciliations
· Business Partnering
o Manages all Site financial processes and relationships; provide proactive financial leadership by developing analytical and financial insight for all important short- and long- term decisions and external business partnerships.
o Proactively identifies areas of potential concern, initiating corrective action when necessary and identifying innovative ways to improve business volume and profit.
o Drives together with the Operations Centers site reporting activities, ensuring financial results integrity and compliance, timely preparation and, when necessary, presentation to relevant Novartis stakeholders.
o Proposes together with the Head Finance GOC optimizations and drives standardization of the financial processes managed by the GOCs
o Ensures that cost-efficient and effective purchasing and IT support across site functions is provided.
· Compliance and Stakeholder Management
o Manages all site and Novartis in-site relations with external auditors and stakeholders, and prepare in-site Novartis organizations for all relevant regulatory and tax audits by ensuring adherence to necessary financial, administrative and corporate compliance (i.e. Sarbanes– Oxley [SOx]) standards.
o Acts as key representative on all NFCM-related topics in the site, closely aligns with the NFCM-support team of the GOCs.
Essential Requirements:
· >10 years’ experience in financial management (controlling) in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
· 3-5 years’ experience in leadership roles with strong people management skills.
· University Degree in Economics / BA / Engineering (minimum).
· Creates and updates strategies that leverage competitive advantages and emerging trends.
· Speaks with genuine authenticity about the deeper meaning of our vision and purpose.
· Talks about external trends and issues that may impact our work in the future.
· Focuses on finding innovative ways to make the patient/customer experience better.
Desirable Requirements:
· MBA is desirable.
