About the Position

As a member of the APAC Solutions team, the Energy Market Analyst will be responsible for engaging directly with both potential and existing clients to increase sales and deliver technical work. The successful candidate will help drive Energy Exemplar’s growth in markets across the APAC region, by working with the sales team to identifying relevant customer use cases and assist in the development of the go to market strategy. Our client, a Japanese chemical trading firm, is looking for a Sales Executive (Japanese speaking) to join their company. This role will be 80% account management and 20% business development, whereby the main focus is on the India market for healthcare drug delivery and related products. A background in chemistry and Japanese language skills to liaise with Japan HQ for transactions will be essential to succeed in this role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handling of existing customers accounts and relationship in Pharmaceutical, Diagnostic industry (80%)
• Development of new customers in Pharmaceutical, Diagnostic, chemical industry (20%)
• Liaising with Japan suppliers and HQ regarding technical specifications of products.
• Preparation of quotations, clarification of technical specifications with customers.
• Establish clear short and long-term goals for the business
• Preparing of monthly sales reports and forecast

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or chemical background is a must
• Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience (good to have chemical sales background)
• JLPT certified is required (Minimum JLPT 3 and above) to liaise with clients in Japan and other counterparts
• Overseas trips to regional countries such as India (one week per quarter) will be required

• Deliver effective support to the Financial Controller in validating the COGS accounts, monthly closing & providing the FP&A team analysis of the COGS result by plant and by SKU.
• Provide insightful monthly performance analysis to facilitate understanding and decision-making by the senior management.
• Maximize efficiency and identify opportunities to reduce Product costs through close collaboration with other functional teams both internally and externally.

• Responsible for Month-end closing of Product COGS.
