ROLE
- The primary responsibility for the role is to initiate contact with potential and existing customers to generate and qualify sales leads, promote the company’s entire suite of services and “products / supply chain solutions“ and identify sales opportunities. The task is to convert these leads or opportunities into bankable sales revenue with acceptable levels of margins (to be defined by company).
- The role holder is responsible for growing net new business and new pipeline. The incumbent must have a deep understanding of market & competition to develop appropriate winning sales strategies and apply the sales and solutions expertise, in conjunction with in-house subject matter experts. Most importantly - have a high conversion efficiency of sales pipeline.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, implement sales strategies and deliver /help deliver planned sales goals.
- Participate/Initiate sales objectives /targets by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new clients.
- Manage sourcing of customers. Build and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base.
- Provide excellent service and maintenance of current customers, including analysis of current lanes to assure we are competitive.
- Monthly financial analysis including determining overall success of current customer profiles in terms of revenue and profit.
- Determine current rates offered by competitors.
- Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to pre-set standards, industry and economic trends including sales and margin goals.
- Overseeing the activities and the performance of the Sales function.
- Prepare report if needed;
- Perform other jobs related to sales function as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Degree in Business / Marketing / Logistics or equivalent;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in regional sales preferably in the Asia Pacific Region;
- Ideally from logistics industry or an industry / category where logistics is a vital part of the business.
- Superlative leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Exemplary sales hunting & KAM capabilities.
- Above average learning skills.
